WHOOP opened Advanced Labs on September 30, 2025, saying more than 350,000 current members had joined its waitlist. That figure was a company-reported sign-up count—not proof that 350,000 people paid for testing or completed a blood draw. The waitlist was later completed, and as of August 2026 the service has two separate parts: free uploads of existing lab reports for members worldwide and paid, WHOOP-arranged testing for eligible U.S. members.
What happened on September 30, 2025
WHOOP launched Advanced Labs as a membership add-on that connects selected blood-test results with data from a WHOOP wearable. WHOOP does not operate the laboratory itself: U.S. samples are collected and processed through Quest Diagnostics, while WHOOP places the results alongside trends such as sleep, activity, recovery and respiratory rate. The company says independent clinicians review results and generate in-app insights.
The launch announcement said more than 350,000 current WHOOP members had joined a waitlist after a May 2025 preview. WHOOP’s announcement is the source of that number, and TechCrunch described it as approximately 350,000 people at launch (WHOOP; TechCrunch). It does not establish the number of paying subscribers, completed tests, conversions or health outcomes.
The waitlist is no longer the main access model
WHOOP said on November 12, 2025 that the waitlist had been completed. Current support pages describe Advanced Labs as available to eligible members, subject to geography and other restrictions (WHOOP’s availability update).

Free uploads for members worldwide
Any WHOOP member can upload a previous blood-test PDF or image without paying for Advanced Labs. WHOOP extracts only biomarkers it supports, so the app may not reproduce every value on the original report. International members can use uploads even where WHOOP-arranged testing is unavailable.
Paid testing in eligible U.S. regions
Eligible U.S. members can purchase a recurring Comprehensive Health Panel subscription and schedule a Quest Diagnostics draw. WHOOP also offers one-time Specialized Panels, introduced on April 16, 2026, in Heart Health, Performance, Metabolic Health, Women’s Health and Men’s Health categories. Those panels cost $299 each and analyze approximately 75 to 89 biomarkers, depending on the category (WHOOP’s Specialized Panels announcement).
A Galleri multi-cancer early-detection test is listed separately in WHOOP’s Advanced Labs materials. It is not part of the standard Comprehensive Panel and should not be treated as a general cancer-diagnosis service (WHOOP Specialized Panels support).

What Advanced Labs includes
Comprehensive Health Panel
WHOOP markets the service around metabolism, hormones, inflammation, cardiovascular health, nutrient status and related markers. Its public pages currently give different totals: the product page says more than 75 biomarkers, while a support page says more than 122 (product page; support page). WHOOP has not clearly explained whether those figures refer to different panels, calculated values, repeated measurements or changing definitions. Treat them as non-interchangeable until the company clarifies the count.

The verified feature is that selected blood results appear with WHOOP data and that WHOOP provides clinician-reviewed insights and an action plan. That is a software and interpretation layer, not evidence that combining the datasets improves health outcomes, diagnoses disease earlier or is superior to physician-directed care.

WHOOP’s support page lists these annual Comprehensive Health Panel add-ons. They renew annually and require an annual WHOOP membership; the figures below do not include the ordinary WHOOP membership fee.

WHOOP says the service is HSA/FSA eligible, but your plan administrator must confirm eligibility. A Comprehensive Panel draw in New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island may carry an estimated $141 surcharge (pricing and eligibility support; FAQ). Your total out-of-pocket cost can therefore include membership, the lab add-on, a state surcharge, travel and any follow-up care.
How to book a WHOOP-arranged test
- Open the WHOOP app and select Health.
- Choose Advanced Labs.
- Select the Comprehensive Health Panel or an eligible Specialized Panel.
- Choose the annual plan or buy the one-time panel.
- Find a Quest Diagnostics location and schedule an appointment. WHOOP says appointments can be booked up to nine months ahead, depending on availability (appointment instructions).
- Bring the Quest confirmation number, your WHOOP reference ID and the lab-order PDF from the app so Quest staff can locate the order.
- Check the app for results and clinician-reviewed insights. WHOOP’s typical estimate is five to 10 business days, although individual biomarkers can arrive at different times (WHOOP product information).
How to upload an existing report for free
- Update the WHOOP app if needed.
- Go to Health → Advanced Labs → Upload Test.
- Upload a PDF or clear image of the report.
- Complete the external upload-consent form.
- Wait for supported biomarkers to be extracted into the app.
WHOOP lists minimum versions of iOS 5.22.0 (449262) and Android 5.419.0 (337080) for the upload feature, though requirements can change (current availability support). Poor image quality, missing pages, unusual formatting, unsupported biomarkers or non-English reports can cause incomplete extraction; WHOOP says English-language results provide the highest processing accuracy (upload support).
Where testing is available
Paid WHOOP-ordered testing is generally limited to eligible U.S. members and local Quest capacity. WHOOP lists launch restrictions in Arizona, Hawaii, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming; residents may be able to use a Quest site in another state. The UAE has a separate Unilabs option, while uploads remain available internationally (U.S. availability; UAE information). Check the app and a nearby Quest location before paying. If you reschedule directly with Quest, the new details may not update in WHOOP, so retain Quest’s confirmation information.

Eligibility and when to involve a clinician
WHOOP says members must be at least 18. It advises people who are pregnant, weigh under 100 pounds, are within 20 weeks postpartum, are severely anemic or recently had surgery to wait until a clinician clears them (eligibility guidance).
Advanced Labs is not a substitute for a primary-care visit, physical examination, symptom-driven testing, medication advice or follow-up of an abnormal result. WHOOP describes its reports and insights as developed by independent healthcare providers, including Quest Diagnostics and SteadyMD. A reviewing clinician may not have your complete history or coordinate treatment with your regular doctor. Anyone with symptoms, chronic disease, complex medications or a concerning result should use a personal clinician.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.WHOOP compared with other ways to test
| Option | Strength | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| WHOOP Advanced Labs | Blood results linked to long-term WHOOP trends, app tracking and clinician-reviewed insights. | Requires WHOOP membership; paid testing is geographically limited; state surcharges and follow-up costs may apply. |
| Labcorp OnDemand | Direct purchase, physician review and transparent à-la-carte pricing at Labcorp locations (Labcorp information; test catalog). | No equivalent WHOOP wearable-data integration. |
| Primary-care testing | Tests selected for your history, symptoms, medications and family risk, with follow-up in an established record; insurance may cover medically indicated work. | Appointments, copays or deductibles and less automated wearable integration. |
Labcorp’s listed examples include a $169 Comprehensive Health Test, $99 Standard Health Test, $29 CBC, $49 Comprehensive Metabolic Panel and $39 HbA1c test. Prices and availability can change, so check the catalog before comparing totals. These are not identical products: WHOOP’s premium is primarily for integration, repeated tracking and convenience rather than simply the blood draw.

How to decide whether it is worth paying for
It may fit you if
- You already use WHOOP consistently and will act on longitudinal trends.
- You want repeated, standardized testing and accept cash-pay costs.
- A nearby Quest location is convenient and you understand what happens after an abnormal result.
It may not fit you if
- You only need a basic CBC, cholesterol or metabolic test.
- You need diagnosis, treatment, insurance-billed care or urgent evaluation.
- You are outside an eligible testing region or will not use the wearable data.
Do not choose a plan solely because it includes more markers. Larger panels can produce borderline findings that require repeat testing and clinical context. Before buying, check the full annual cost, expected testing frequency, local appointment availability, clinician follow-up options and WHOOP’s current privacy terms for retention, sharing, deletion and product-development use. WHOOP describes health information as encrypted and securely stored, but that statement does not answer every data-governance question; read the current policy and ask WHOOP if a point matters to you.
Bottom line
WHOOP’s “350,000-person waitlist” was a September 2025 launch claim, not a verified count of customers or completed tests. In 2026, Advanced Labs is a paid, U.S.-restricted testing add-on plus a free global upload tool. It is most defensible for an existing WHOOP user who values app-integrated, repeated tracking and understands the extra cost. It is less compelling for routine screening or any situation that requires a doctor’s examination, diagnosis or coordinated follow-up.
