Who Will Inherit Hulk Hogan’s Estate? What the Reported Probate Filings Show

Reported September 2025 probate filings name Nick Hogan as sole beneficiary of Hulk Hogan’s will. The $25 million figure was an early estimate, not a filed claim, and the filing lists nearly $5 million in assets.

Nick Hogan is the only beneficiary named in Hulk Hogan’s will, according to September 2025 reporting on Pinellas County probate filings. Brooke Hogan is not listed. The “$25 million battle” is not a filed dispute. That figure was an early estimate of Hogan’s wealth, and the probate filing described in later reports totals nearly $5 million in listed assets.

The most recent reporting on the filing is from September 2025. It does not show what the court file looks like today, so check the docket before treating any of the details below as current.

Who is named as beneficiary

Hogan died on July 24, 2025, according to later reporting. Court documents obtained by Us Weekly and TMZ, and relayed by The Independent in September 2025, describe a will executed in 2016 and amended in 2017, 2021, 2022 and July 2023. In those reports, Nick Hogan is the sole named beneficiary and Brooke Hogan is not listed. EL PAÍS, citing U.S. court-document reporting on September 11, 2025, reported the same sole-beneficiary point.

The same reporting says Nick asked to be appointed co-personal representative alongside Terry McCoy in a filing dated September 9, 2025. An application to serve as personal representative is a request to the court, not an appointment. Treat the beneficiary and appointment details as reported filing content until you have read the documents yourself.

Where the $25 million figure came from

InvestmentNews published a July 28, 2025 piece citing an “approximately $25 million” fortune for Hogan. WealthManagement.com followed on August 6, 2025 with speculative analysis of the estate. Both pieces were written before the probate filing details became public. They discussed possible family tension and whether Sky Daily, Hogan’s surviving spouse, could claim a Florida elective share.

The $25 million number is a wealth estimate. It is not the value of probate assets, the amount Nick would receive, or the size of any filed claim. No reporting reviewed for this article reconciles total wealth with the probate total, so the two should not be treated as the same money.

What the probate filing reportedly lists

Later reporting described a probate filing of nearly $5 million, broken into the categories below. These are values reported from the filing and estimates in the filing, not a verified estate valuation.

Item Reported value Source and date Status in reporting
Total assets described in probate filing Nearly $5 million The Independent, September 2025, citing court documents Reported total of listed assets
Cryptocurrency $200,000 The Independent, September 2025 Listed in filing
Personal property and intellectual property $799,000 The Independent, September 2025 Listed in filing
Right of publicity Estimated $4 million The Independent, September 2025 Listed in filing as an estimate
Two Clearwater homes Estimated around $11 million combined realestate.com.au, updated September 12, 2025 Reported as not listed in the probate paperwork

The probate total and the wealth estimate measure different things. Real estate held outside the filing, trust holdings, debts, taxes and claims against the estate are not resolved in the reporting. A reader who compares $25 million with $5 million is comparing a rough estimate of total wealth with a partial filed list.

The Florida elective share: what it is and what is not established

FindLaw’s Florida explainer describes the elective share as a right for a surviving spouse to take 30% of an “augmented estate,” a broader base than the probate estate. A spouse can waive the right by agreement, such as a marital or prenuptial agreement. Early coverage raised the possibility that Sky Daily could seek this share.

Why the 30% cannot be applied to the headline

  • The 30% applies to the augmented estate as Florida law defines it. It does not apply to a press estimate of total wealth.
  • The reporting reviewed here does not show that Sky Daily filed an election, was awarded a share, or signed a waiver.
  • Florida sets deadlines for making an elective-share election. Check the current statute and the court file rather than relying on any date in press coverage.

Brooke Hogan and possible challenges

Adult children do not automatically inherit from a parent. What the will and any trusts say, and what state law allows, decides the outcome. A will contest is a general legal option, and FindLaw discusses it as background. The reporting does not establish that Brooke Hogan filed a contest. Estrangement or being left out of a will is not, on its own, a legal claim.

The separate federal case

A separate proceeding in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida concerns the use of tape excerpts and related settlement, copyright and trademark issues. It is not an inheritance contest.

  • September 4, 2025: The court’s order temporarily barred publication of the tape or excerpts. It denied the broader restrictions requested, which had been sought without notice.
  • Later order (September 2025): The temporary order was dissolved and a preliminary injunction was denied after further review. The order also addressed questions about the plaintiffs’ capacity when the case began.

These orders bear on the documentary dispute only. They do not decide who inherits from the estate.

How to check the current status

  1. Search the Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court’s probate records for Hogan’s name, including his legal name, Terry Gene Bollea.
  2. Look for the petition for administration, any letters of administration, an inventory of assets, and any amended will or trust filing.
  3. Check whether any filing mentions an elective-share election, a waiver or a will contest. The absence of any of these in the file is itself informative.
  4. Compare each filing’s date with the reporting above. Anything filed after September 2025 is not covered here.
  5. Review the governing Florida statutes for elective-share and will-contest deadlines before drawing a legal conclusion.
