Who owned JLab after the 2021 announcement?
JLab’s April 14, 2021 announcement named Noritsu Koki as its new equity owner. The release also said JLab would continue operating independently under the JLab name, with its sales, marketing, product development, finance, support and operations teams remaining at its San Diego headquarters.
Those operational assurances describe how JLab said it planned to operate after the transaction. They do not, by themselves, establish whether Noritsu Koki held a controlling stake, nor do they verify whether the ownership arrangement remains unchanged today.
Is JLab still owned by Noritsu Koki?
The available evidence here does not establish JLab’s present-day beneficial ownership or current parent company. JLab’s current press materials describe its consumer-electronics business and identify Winthrop Cramer as CEO, but do not name a parent or owner. The 2021 announcement is therefore the basis for saying Noritsu Koki was named as the equity owner then—not for asserting that the same ownership chain is confirmed in October 2026.

What does “PEAG, LLC d/b/a JLab Audio” mean?
A 2026 filing by Koss with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission refers to the other party in a settled patent dispute as “PEAG, LLC d/b/a JLab Audio.” The filing is evidence that PEAG, LLC was identified as the legal entity doing business under the JLab Audio name in that litigation context. It is not an ownership disclosure and does not show who owns PEAG, LLC today.
What company is JLab, and what does it make?
JLab Audio is a consumer-facing personal-audio brand. JLab’s press materials describe its business as consumer electronics focused on personal audio, while its news page includes 2026 product news about earbuds such as JBuds Mini ANC and Go Pods ANC. These descriptions establish the brand’s current product focus, not its ownership chain.
