StreetX owner Daniel Bradshaw started the Perth streetwear label in his mother’s spare room in 2011. By 2021, the business had a Northbridge shop, queues for limited designs and a focus on selling its own products, according to PerthNow. That reported progress is not a measure of revenue or market share: the published accounts describe the label’s path and identity, not audited business results.
How Daniel Bradshaw started StreetX
Bradshaw launched StreetX in 2011 from his mother’s spare room, PerthNow reported in a profile marking the label’s first decade. The early operation was modest: Bradshaw said the business initially gave away shirts, then gradually shifted toward selling its own products.
“We gave away shirts for free at the start and then slowly made more and more and now it’s built up …to selling pretty much only our own stuff,” Bradshaw told PerthNow on 2 May 2021. This is his account of the transition, not independently audited sales information.
From spare room to a Northbridge shop
By the May 2021 profile, StreetX had a bricks-and-mortar shop in Northbridge, Perth, and PerthNow reported queues for limited designs. Those observations show a visible local presence and demand around particular releases; they do not establish the label’s customer count, revenue, profit or overall growth rate.

PerthNow described the business as having reached 10 years in operation in 2021, based on its reported 2011 start. The profile’s “strength to strength” framing is descriptive rather than a quantified measure of financial performance.
Why Perth is central to StreetX’s identity
Bradshaw has presented staying in Perth as part of the label’s story, rather than treating the city as a temporary starting point. In 2021, he told PerthNow: “The whole thing is you have to leave (Perth) to be successful, but you can succeed here.” He also said the brand aimed to make its origins visible: “We always try to broadcast where we’re from to the rest of the world.”

Collaborations have given that local identity a tangible form. PerthNow’s 2021 profile named work with Perth businesses Pretzel, Daisies, Chu Bakery and Re Store, alongside an anniversary jacket release. The collaborations connected clothing to familiar local food and retail names, rather than relying only on a general claim of regional inspiration.
Later collaborations carried the WA theme into sport
A February 2026 PerthNow report described a StreetX AFL Origin capsule. Bradshaw said, “So much of our brand is rooted in Western Australian culture,” and the report said the collection drew on WA iconography, including the Swan. PerthNow reported that the graphic tee was released online, while hoodies and scarves were available at an event pop-up at Forrest Place.

The same report named collaborations with Ben Cousins, Jack Della Maddalena and Tony Galati. These are examples of a later, sports-oriented chapter in StreetX’s collaboration history; the specific capsule and event availability were tied to the 2026 match and should not be taken as a claim about current stock.
What StreetX sells now—and what that does not prove
As of 8 October 2026, StreetX’s official online store listed tees, jackets, fleece, pants, caps and collaboration pieces, and gave a Perth address at 272 William Street. These categories show the range presented in the store at that time, not a permanent inventory or a measure of how much the company sells. Stock, prices, offers and store hours can change.

For a personal-finance-minded view of the business story, the distinction matters: a shop, queues, product categories and collaborations can illustrate brand visibility, but none substitutes for published financial statements. The sources reporting Bradshaw’s story do not provide revenue, profit, employment, production-volume, market-share or customer-count figures.

The evidence supports a clear chronology: StreetX began in a spare room in 2011; by 2021 Bradshaw described a shift from giving away shirts to selling mostly the label’s own products, alongside a Northbridge shop and local collaborations; and later reporting showed Perth and Western Australian references continuing through cultural and sports releases. It does not support assigning a financial growth rate or claiming a particular current business size.
