News reports identify Rao Talha Javed as the person described as Pakistan’s youngest Assistant Commissioner. The official Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) notices reviewed confirm his appointment as a probationary Assistant Commissioner-IR for training in 2024 and a later posting at the Large Taxpayers Office, Multan. They do not establish his exact age or verify a youngest-ever national record.
What the official FBR notices confirm
An FBR notification dated 16 May 2024 lists Javed among probationary Inland Revenue Service officers who assumed charge as Assistant Commissioner-IR for specialized training at the Inland Revenue Service Academy in Lahore. The notice gives his charge-assumption date as 29 March 2024 and identifies the post as Assistant Commissioner-IR (IRS/BS-17 Prob.). Read the FBR notification.

A second FBR notification, dated 11 July 2025, lists Javed among probationary Inland Revenue Service officers at the Large Taxpayers Office, Multan. The group was selected through internal job posting, with performance allowance effective 2 July 2025. Read the 2025 FBR notification.
These notices establish his Inland Revenue Service role and the postings they record. They do not establish a general district-administration appointment, nor do they state his age.

Why reports call him Pakistan’s youngest Assistant Commissioner
TechJuice, 24 News HD and Daily Times have described Javed as Pakistan’s youngest Assistant Commissioner or the youngest in the country’s history. TechJuice’s report, 24 News HD’s report and Daily Times’ report provide the media basis for that description.
The FBR notices support the training and service timeline, but they do not compare Javed’s age with that of earlier Assistant Commissioners. The reports reviewed do not provide comparative ages, a list of earlier appointees or an official record designation. The youngest-ever description should therefore be understood as a claim reported by news outlets, not as a national record independently established by the official notices.

His reported education and CSS timeline
TechJuice reports that Javed is from Lodhran and passed matriculation with distinction from Duniapur Public School in 2015. The same account says he completed FSc in 2017, earned a BS in Civil Engineering in 2021 and passed the CSS examination on his first attempt in 2022. It also reports that he completed training under the 51st Common Programme before serving in 2025.
24 News HD and Daily Times report a substantially similar sequence. These biographical and examination details are media-reported; the FBR notices cited above do not independently confirm them.

What the title does—and does not—mean
In the FBR documents, Javed’s designation is Assistant Commissioner-IR: an Inland Revenue Service post at probationary BS-17 level. A headline using “Assistant Commissioner” without the IR qualification can sound like a district-administration role, but the notices establish the Inland Revenue context instead.
The evidence supports saying that Javed was named in an FBR training appointment notice and later listed in a Multan posting notification. It does not support presenting “youngest in Pakistan’s history” as a verified fact. Reports that describe him that way should be attributed to those outlets.
