No zodiac sign has been shown to make someone more likely to become a billionaire. A 2025 analysis of the Forbes top 100 found no clear differences by sign; a 2006 Forbes count named Virgo the most common sign in a subset with confirmed birth dates. Neither result measures an individual’s odds of becoming wealthy.
What the latest billionaire-sign analysis found
CUE Research’s analysis of the Forbes 2025 top 100 reported “no clear differences” across zodiac signs for every group of 50 or more people and every measure it tested. The researchers concluded that the apparent patterns in this small population were not distinguishable from normal variation. CUE Research
The analysis included 92 people, not all 100: eight records lacked an exact birth date that met the study’s verification rules. The researchers required agreement between Forbes and Wikidata at day precision, with manual source review for exceptions. They compared the sample with randomly generated birthdays from the same birth years, rather than treating each sign as having exactly one-twelfth of births.
That baseline matters because birthdays are not evenly distributed throughout the year. A raw count can make a sign look unusually common simply because more people in the relevant birth dates were born in those months. The study’s result is a useful check on confident rankings, though it is one analysis of one year’s list and is not an independent peer-reviewed publication.

Why Virgo appears in older billionaire rankings
A 2006 Forbes article reported that more than 70 of 613 billionaires with confirmed birth dates—roughly 12%—were born during the article’s Virgo date range. That made Virgo the most common sign in that historical, date-confirmed subset; the article also found billionaires across all twelve signs. Forbes, 2006
This is a descriptive count, not a finding that Virgo-born people have higher odds of becoming billionaires. It is nearly two decades old, covers a dated subset of a list of 793, and does not establish a current population pattern or a causal link between a birthday and wealth.

Why a birthday count cannot show who is likely to get rich
A list of billionaires tells you which birthdays appear among people who already reached an extreme level of wealth. It does not provide the denominator needed to calculate a person’s chance of becoming a billionaire: how many people of each sign started in comparable circumstances, and how many in each group eventually reached that outcome.
Nor does a correlation establish that a zodiac sign caused wealth. CUE Research puts the distinction plainly: “A strong result describes where the wealth sits; it does not show that a birthday causes wealth.” Its analysis also tested multiple measures and overlapping rank groups. For example, the top 20 is contained within the top 100, so a pattern in both groups would not count as independent confirmation.

Do not confuse the day-of-month finding with a zodiac result
CUE Research reported that people born on the 28th held 14.2% of the top 100 group’s wealth, compared with 3.3% expected. That is a day-of-month observation, not a zodiac-sign finding. The source says such results need further testing and cautions that overlapping groups and patterns noticed after examining the data can produce striking results without proving causality.
How to judge a billionaire zodiac ranking
When two articles name different “wealthiest” or “most common” signs, check what each one actually measured:
Rank #4
- List and year: A top-100 list from one year is not the same population as a historical all-billionaire list.
- Sample size: A ranking based on a small elite subset can shift substantially when a few records change.
- Birth-date quality: Find out how many dates were verified to the exact day and how unknown or conflicting dates were handled.
- Baseline: A fair comparison accounts for actual birthday distributions by season or year instead of assuming equal numbers per sign.
- Measure: A count of people, share of total net worth, and average wealth per sign answer different questions.
- Repeatability: A result is more credible if it survives multiple-testing concerns and appears in a later, independent list.
These checks help separate a memorable birthday coincidence from a reliable finding. Even a recurring association would describe a pattern in observed data; it would not, on its own, show that astrology predicts financial outcomes.

Virgo was the most common sign in Forbes’s 2006 count of 613 confirmed birth dates, while CUE Research’s 2025 top-100 analysis found no clear differences across signs. The evidence supports neither a current “best” sign nor the claim that any sign predicts billionaire status.
