Jonathan Scott had the higher estimated Instagram sponsored-post rate in a report published April 24, 2023: $8,871 per post, compared with $8,289 for Drew Scott. That is a $582 difference in the report’s estimates—not proof of either brother’s actual sponsorship income or current rate.
What the 2023 estimates say
Storeys reported that a study by real-estate experts Agent Advice used the Influencer Marketing Calculator to estimate what TV personalities from real-estate and home-improvement shows could earn for a sponsored Instagram post. Its table gave Jonathan Scott the higher estimate.
| Property Brother | Reported followers | Reported engagement rate | Estimated earnings per sponsored post |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jonathan Scott (@jonathanscott) | 2.6 million | 0.59% | $8,871 |
| Drew Scott (@mrdrewscott) | 2.5 million | 1.16% | $8,289 |
The $582 gap is calculated by subtracting Drew’s reported estimate from Jonathan’s. The follower counts, engagement rates and estimated amounts are figures reproduced in Storeys’ April 24, 2023 report; they should not be read as current account metrics or rates.
Why the estimates are not the same as earnings
The report describes potential earnings from a hypothetical sponsored post, modeled with a calculator. It does not verify payments, disclose contract terms, or show how many sponsored posts either brother published. The figures therefore do not establish either man’s actual sponsorship income—or who earns more from sponsorships overall.

Neither metric, by itself, establishes what a brand paid or what either brother ultimately received.

The narrow conclusion supported by the report is that Jonathan had the higher estimated per-post amount in that 2023 comparison. It is not a reliable basis for projecting present-day rates, total annual income, or the brothers’ overall earnings. Chris Heller, Agent Advice co-founder, said that television hosts in real estate and home improvement have built large social-media followings; the Storeys report offers the estimates as an illustration of potential sponsored-post value, not audited compensation.
