Its initial schedule called for nonstop Dubai–Shenzhen flights and linked services to Da Nang and Siem Reap via Bangkok. Later reports confirmed Hangzhou’s launch and identified Bogotá and Madagascar among destinations launched during the airline’s 2024–25 financial year. These are historical announcements, not current schedules; check Emirates’ route search before making travel plans.
What Emirates announced for 2025
On 3 March 2025, Emirates announced three Asian destinations with different start dates and service patterns. The announcement described Shenzhen as a nonstop flight from Dubai; the services to Da Nang and Siem Reap were linked via Bangkok, not nonstop Dubai services.

These dates and frequencies are the plans Emirates announced in March 2025, not a statement of what operates today. The announcement included flight numbers and local departure and arrival times, but those historical timings should not be used to plan a current trip. Emirates’ live route search is the appropriate place to check availability and schedules.
Which additional 2025 launches were confirmed?
Hangzhou, China
A Dubai Media Office report said Emirates flight EK310 landed in Hangzhou on 30 July 2025, confirming that the city became a new destination. The report described the daily service as operated by Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, called the addition of two gateways within a month a milestone in the airline’s commitment to mainland China.

Bogotá and Madagascar
The Emirates Group’s financial-year results release said Emirates launched Bogotá and Madagascar during FY2024–25, the year ending 31 March 2025. The same release said the airline served 148 cities in 80 countries and territories as of that date. That figure is a dated network snapshot, not a current network total, and the financial-year report does not provide a complete chronology of calendar-year 2025 launches.
Which destinations were resumptions, not new routes?
The FY2024–25 release separately identified services to Phnom Penh, Lagos, Adelaide and Edinburgh as resumed. A resumed route is a return of service, not a new destination launch; keep that distinction in mind when comparing Emirates’ route announcements.

Why the A350 announcement does not mean seven new routes
In March 2025, Emirates also announced plans to deploy A350 aircraft on services to Tunis, Amman, Istanbul, Dammam, Ho Chi Minh City, Baghdad and Oslo, with planned start dates between June and September. These were aircraft deployments to destinations, not announcements of seven new city routes. The same release discussed increased A350 service to Bahrain and Kuwait, as well as an earlier A350 deployment to Bologna. A change in aircraft type or capacity is distinct from opening a new route.

- Search the exact origin and destination in Emirates’ current route search; historical launch announcements do not establish current operating status.
- For Da Nang or Siem Reap, check the itinerary details for the Bangkok connection rather than assuming a nonstop flight from Dubai.
- Confirm dates and flight times in the live booking flow, since the schedules announced for 2025 may have changed.
In the March announcement, Kazim said Emirates remained committed to providing access to Southeast Asia and the broader East Asia region through an extensive flight schedule. The statement describes the airline’s aim; it is not evidence of current frequency or route availability.
