What cryptocurrency did the Monero headline mean?
It meant VC Spectra (SPCT). Ahmed Raza’s TechBullion article, published December 12, 2023, presented the token as an opportunity for people who had missed Monero’s rise and included a “BUY SPCT TOKENS NOW” presale call to action. Read the dated TechBullion article.
That framing matters: a presale pitch and its price projections are not independent confirmation of a project’s claims or investment prospects.

What did TechBullion say SPCT offered?
The article described VC Spectra as a DeFi token using Bitcoin blockchain infrastructure and said it offered quarterly dividends, buybacks, access to ICOs, and voting rights. Those are the article’s assertions. The information available here does not verify them against current primary documentation for that same VC Spectra project, so they should not be treated as established features.
Is VC Spectra the same as the Spectra protocol?
No evidence here establishes that they are the same project. The TechBullion article refers to VC Spectra (SPCT). Separately, Spectra’s official documentation describes a SPECTRA ecosystem token introduced on December 17, 2024, replacing APW. Similar names and tickers can invite confusion, but information about that separately documented protocol does not verify claims about VC Spectra’s presale.
