The Indianapolis Eras Tour concerts took place on November 1, 2, and 3, 2024, at Lucas Oil Stadium. The venue’s event listing now reads “This event has passed,” so no current ticket, resale or official, will get you into those performances. There is no cheap way to buy them online today. This guide explains what fans paid for those dates, how the tickets were originally sold, and how to buy legitimately if you are looking for a future show.
Why no ticket can be bought for these shows
The Indianapolis dates are over. Lucas Oil Stadium’s event page for the November 2024 concerts shows the status “This event has passed,” which means there is no valid admission left to sell. Any listing offering tickets to those dates now is either outdated, mislabeled, or invalid. Search results and marketplace pages can keep showing old inventory for a long time after an event ends, so the presence of a listing is not evidence that the event is still available.
How tickets were originally sold for the tour
The Eras Tour’s sales were run through Ticketmaster. Its historical guidance said the official route was the Verified Fan onsale or certain limited, tour-sponsored onsale opportunities for particular shows. Being selected for a Verified Fan presale or gaining access to a sale did not guarantee a ticket. Inventory was sold first come, first served while it lasted, and the guidance cited a limit of four tickets per customer for the event. That guidance describes how the sales worked at the time, not a sale that is open now.
The scale of demand in 2022
The tour’s national onsale in November 2022 was the source of most of the pricing headlines. Ticketmaster reported the following figures from that period:
- 3.5 million people preregistered for the TaylorSwiftTix Presale powered by Verified Fan.
- The onsale generated 3.5 billion total system requests, which Ticketmaster described as four times its previous peak.
- More than 2 million tickets were sold on Ticketmaster for the tour on November 15, 2022, which Ticketmaster called the most tickets ever sold for an artist in one day.
Ticketmaster’s own 2022 statement acknowledged the outcome for many buyers: “Even when a high demand onsale goes flawlessly from a tech perspective, many fans are left empty handed.” These are the company’s reported figures, and they describe the national onsale, not the Indianapolis dates specifically.

What “cheap” meant during Indianapolis show week
The only price for the Indianapolis shows that appears in contemporaneous coverage is a resale figure. Axios Indianapolis reported on November 1, 2024 that resale tickets started at about $2,000 on StubHub, Vivid Seats, and SeatGeek. That was a snapshot taken on the first day of the run, and it does not represent a guaranteed price, a completed sale, or the cost after fees.
A separate, broader figure comes from the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Its March 2026 report states that Eras Tour tickets were not dynamically priced and that tickets appeared on resale sites for as much as $20,000 each within less than 24 hours of the November 2022 onsale. That number concerns the tour’s national resale market in 2022, not a price for any Indianapolis seat.
| Figure | Source and date | What it covers | What it does not show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Resale tickets started at about $2,000 | Axios Indianapolis, November 1, 2024 | Indianapolis show week, on StubHub, Vivid Seats, and SeatGeek | A current price, a guaranteed listing, or the all-in cost |
| Resale tickets reached as much as $20,000 | U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, March 2026 report | Resale sites within less than 24 hours of the November 2022 onsale | Any specific Indianapolis seat or price |
| Ticketmaster’s reported sales figures | Ticketmaster, 2022 | National onsale activity, including more than 2 million tickets sold on November 15, 2022 | Indianapolis-specific sales or prices |
Why a low resale price is not a bargain signal
Resale prices for a concert that has already happened tell you nothing about what a ticket costs to buy now. A listing that seems cheap for a passed event is either an error, an old page, or a listing for a different event. The 2024 figures were also influenced by demand that was far above normal, so they cannot be used to judge the price of a future show.

If you are looking for tickets to an upcoming show, use the official route rather than the first search result:
- Start with the artist’s official tour page, which lists the confirmed dates and cities.
- Open the venue’s event listing for the specific date. Confirm that the status shows the event as on sale, not passed or cancelled.
- Follow the ticket link on that event listing. Lucas Oil Stadium’s ticket information page describes purchase options both online and in person, and states that tickets bought through Ticketmaster or the event promoter are eligible for Will Call pickup.
- Check the per-customer limit and sale rules shown at checkout before you buy, since limits and presale terms vary by event.
Warning signs in resale listings
- The event is marked as passed, or the date does not match the venue’s listing.
- The price is far below what the official sale showed, or far above it with no explanation.
- The seller asks you to pay outside the platform or through a payment method you cannot verify.
- The listing cannot be checked against the venue’s official event page.
If a resale listing for a future show does not match the venue’s official event listing, treat it as unverified and do not pay for it.
