There is no verified live price comparison for Pokémon Legends: Z-A as of October 4, 2026, so older deal prices should not be treated as current. Choose the original Nintendo Switch game if you play on Switch or Switch Lite; choose the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for Switch 2, or check the upgrade pack if you already own the Switch game. A physical Switch 2 Edition bundle with Mega Dimension is announced for October 29, 2026, but its price and retail availability have not been established.
Which version should you buy?
The two editions are for different consoles. Nintendo lists the Switch 2 Edition release date as October 16, 2025. Its product description says it offers improved performance, enhanced resolution, and smoother frame rates; that is Nintendo’s description, not an independent performance test.

| You have an original Nintendo Switch or Switch Lite | Original Nintendo Switch game | Make sure the listing is for Nintendo Switch, not the Switch 2 Edition. Current price and stock were not verified. |
| You have a Nintendo Switch 2 and want its edition | Nintendo Switch 2 Edition | Check whether the listing is digital or physical, and confirm the platform in the product title. |
| You already own the Switch game | Switch 2 upgrade pack | Nintendo says owners of the packaged or downloaded Switch game can purchase an upgrade pack. Check the current regional price and terms before comparing it with buying the Switch 2 Edition outright. |
| You want the base game and Mega Dimension together in a physical purchase | Announced Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension bundle | Its announced release date is October 29, 2026. Confirm local price, stock, contents, and any bonus terms when retailer listings appear. |
Nintendo’s Switch 2 Edition product page says Mega Dimension DLC is sold separately with that standalone edition. The bundle is a separate announced product, not evidence that a retailer already has stock.
What is known about the physical bundle?
The Pokémon Company announced a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition plus Mega Dimension bundle for October 29, 2026. Nintendo’s US listing describes it as physical and says it includes an insert with a code for 100 Ultra Balls. The listing did not expose a price in the information available for this guide, and the US detail should not be assumed to apply identically in every region.

How to check a listing before you pay
- Match the platform. Confirm the listing explicitly says Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, as appropriate for your console.
- Check format and seller. Verify whether you are buying a physical copy or digital product, who is selling it, and whether the listing is for the game rather than a console bundle.
- For an existing Switch copy, compare the upgrade route. Nintendo’s launch schedule says owners of packaged or downloaded copies can purchase the upgrade pack, but its current regional price and terms are not established here.
- For the Mega Dimension bundle, confirm the contents. Check that the listing is the October 29 physical bundle and read the regional terms for DLC and the Ultra Balls code insert.
- Check the final checkout total. Review stock, delivery conditions, and any seller-specific terms on the retailer page before completing the purchase.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
