For online purchases in the US and Canada, start with Pokémon Center, Pokémon’s direct retail option. To find nearby shops, use the Pokémon Retail Locator. Pokémon’s product guidance also names Walmart, Target, GameStop, and reputable local hobby shops. Retailer coverage varies by region, and none of these sources guarantees a particular product is in stock at a specific location.
Check stock before making a trip
Look at the retailer’s current product listing or contact the store directly. Pokémon Support said on May 26, 2026, that very high demand was making some TCG products difficult to purchase and that it was working to print more and reprint impacted products. Pokémon Center may use a virtual queue for certain products during busy periods. That dated update describes a demand issue, not the current stock status of any individual item. Choose the product that fits your goal
Preconstructed decks
A preconstructed deck contains a fixed 60 cards and is designed to play out of the box. It is the more direct choice if you want a ready-to-play starting point rather than a random selection of cards.

Booster packs
Booster packs are randomized, making them suitable for collecting variety or working toward a set. Pokémon Support’s current general guidance says a pack contains 10 game cards: four commons, three uncommons, and three foils, with at least one rare or higher, plus an Energy card and a code card redeemable in Pokémon TCG Live. For sets released before Scarlet & Violet, the same guidance says the guarantee is at least one reverse foil per pack instead. Pokémon Support’s product guidance.
Bundles, Elite Trainer Boxes, collections, and tins
Boosters are sold individually, in display boxes, and in boxed products. Elite Trainer Boxes, collections, and tins may add promotional cards or accessories; Elite Trainer Boxes also include items such as sleeves, dice, counters, dividers, and a storage box. Pokémon says the booster packs inside these products are the same packs sold individually, with no special rate or better chance of pulling a specific card. Compare the pack count, included extras, and total price—not the box size—as a measure of value or odds.

How to compare prices without guessing
The official sources cited here do not provide comparable retailer prices or an official MSRP table for the products discussed. That means there is no supported basis to name one retailer as cheapest or give a reliable price range. Prices can also refer to different sets, pack counts, sellers, and shipping terms.
When comparing two live listings, make sure they are for the same product and region. Check:

- The exact set, product format, and seller.
- The number of booster packs and any included promo cards or accessories.
- The total after shipping and taxes, not just the displayed item price.
- Whether the listing is from the retailer itself or a marketplace/reseller.
- Current stock, purchase limits, and any stated shipping estimate.
Price per pack is useful only when the products being compared have genuinely comparable contents. A box with extras is not directly equivalent to a pack-only listing, and an advertised marketplace price should not be mistaken for an official retail price.

Destined Rivals is historical
For historical context, The Pokémon Company International announced Scarlet & Violet—Destined Rivals for May 30, 2025. Formats included booster display boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, Build & Battle Boxes, and a six-pack booster bundle. The announcement said Build & Battle Boxes are offered at local game stores during prerelease events and become more widely available around the expansion launch. Check official estimated shipment dates for 2026 products
Pokémon Center Support’s preorder page, last updated in October 2026, lists selected 30th Celebration products with estimated October or November 2026 shipment windows and Mega Evolution—Delta Reign products with estimated early November 2026 shipments. These are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates: the page warns that shipping delays, weather, and other unforeseen circumstances can change them.
