There is no verified basis here for naming the 13 retailers in the Real Simple guide or ranking them by years of testing. A separate 2023 Bob Vila guide offers a useful starting point: it covers retailers from budget chains to premium specialists, but its recommendations, prices and policies should not be mistaken for Real Simple’s list or current offers.
What is known about the “13 best places” guide?
The title appears to refer to a Real Simple shopping guide, but the original article and its testing methodology could not be verified. Available secondary references do not establish which retailers Real Simple named, how many years of testing were involved, what products were tested, or how results were scored. For that reason, this article does not attribute a retailer list or a test winner to Real Simple.
A separate guide, Stacey L. Nash’s “The 13 Best Places to Buy Bedding”, was published by Bob Vila on January 31, 2023. Start with the thing that matters most to you, then compare the specific items you might buy. A retailer can sell several quality levels and fabrics; its overall reputation does not establish that every sheet set or duvet cover has the same materials, certification or value.
