You can reload a Netspend card with cash at participating Netspend Reload Network locations. Use Netspend’s reload locator or its mobile app to find a nearby outlet and confirm that the specific location accepts reloads. Netspend lists Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS as examples, but participation varies by branch. The current Netspend FAQ lists reload fees from $0 to $3.95, depending on location.

Search for locations near your address or ZIP code, then check the results for a participating outlet. Netspend advertises more than 130,000 reload locations nationwide, but that count does not mean every retailer or branch takes Netspend reloads.

Netspend names Walmart, Walgreens, and CVS as examples of retailers offering prepaid card reload services. These are examples, not a guarantee that every store in those chains can reload your card. Confirm the exact outlet in the locator or app.
What to bring and how a cash reload works
Take the cash you want to load and your Netspend card to the participating outlet. Netspend’s instructions say to give the card and cash to the cashier to complete the reload. Ask the cashier to confirm the fee before the transaction if it is not clear in the locator.

Netspend’s current FAQ lists cash reload fees ranging from $0 to $3.95, with the exact amount varying by location. The figure is a range, not a promise that a particular nearby store will charge a specific amount. Check the fee for your chosen outlet and the terms for your card program; charges may change.
