Amazon Prime Day 2025 has ended. In the United States, it ran for 96 hours, from July 8 through July 11, 2025. Amazon advertised early offers before the event and additional limited-time deals during it, but those prices and discounts are historical—not offers available now.

When was Amazon Prime Day 2025?

Amazon’s U.S. announcement set the start for Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time. The event ended at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Friday, July 11, for a total of 96 hours. Amazon described it as the first four-day Prime Day, twice the length of the previous event format. Amazon’s announcement and event guide provide those dates and times.

The dates above are for the U.S. kickoff. Amazon’s guide said the July 8 start also applied in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye and the UK. Brazil, Egypt, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were listed as markets shopping later that summer. Local schedules could differ, so the U.S. times should not be assumed to apply elsewhere.

What were the best early deals?

There are no live Prime Day 2025 deals to shop now. Ahead of the event, Amazon advertised early offers such as barbecue essentials starting at $3, grocery and household essentials under $5, and swimwear from $12. These were advertised entry prices, not guarantees that specific products stayed available at those prices throughout the event.

Amazon’s July 1 preview named offers from brands including Levi’s, Shark, Dyson, Samsung, Sony and Anker. It advertised up to 40% off select TVs and select Anker chargers and speakers, up to 35% off select Samsung tablets, and up to 50% off select Levi’s apparel. “Up to” applied to selected items; it did not mean every product in a category received that discount. These were pre-event claims, not current prices or independently verified savings. Amazon’s preview lists the examples.

How did Prime Day 2025 deals work?

Early offers and the main event

Amazon began promoting some offers before July 8, then ran the main event through July 11. Amazon said Prime membership was required to shop all Prime Day 2025 deals. Its event guide suggested preparing by adding products to Lists or using Buy Again. Membership requirements and benefits can change; these details describe the 2025 event.

Today’s Big Deals and timed drops

Amazon introduced “Today’s Big Deals,” themed daily offers from major brands. The drops launched at midnight PDT and were available for a limited time while supplies lasted. Amazon also said new deals could appear as often as every five minutes during select periods. That was an event mechanic, not a promise that each product or category refreshed on that schedule.

For shopping discovery, Amazon also described Rufus, Shopping Guides, Interests and Alexa+ features. The company said Alexa+ deal help was available at the time to U.S. Prime members with Early Access. Those descriptions concern features promoted for the 2025 event and do not establish their current availability or terms. Amazon’s feature explainer has the event details.

What products and other offers did Amazon feature?

Amazon said Prime Day included more than 35 categories, spanning areas such as fashion, beauty, groceries, household essentials, electronics, home improvement, back-to-school, health and personal care, toys, books and pet essentials. Its July 8 Day 1 roundup featured these historical deal examples:

  • Amazon Echo Buds
  • A Philips coffee machine and milk frother bundle
  • A Sony 65-inch 4K television
  • A Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go laptop
  • ELEMIS facial pads
  • A STANLEY Quencher tumbler

The roundup reported discounts for those products on July 8, 2025; the deals have expired and should not be treated as current prices. Amazon’s advance preview also included non-product offers, such as 50% off Grubhub+ delivery orders and special travel deals with partners including Avis and Carnival Cruise Line. Those, too, were event promotions; partner terms were not necessarily identical. See Amazon’s Day 1 roundup for the dated product examples.

What did Amazon say after the event?

In its July 12, 2025 recap, Amazon called the event its biggest Prime Day ever and said customers saved billions across more than 35 product categories. The recap gave no exact savings total, and these statements are Amazon’s claims, not independent measurements. Amazon also said Ring Battery Doorbell and Fire TV Stick HD were among the event’s best-selling items.

Doug Herrington, CEO of Amazon Worldwide Stores, said in the recap: “This year’s extended Prime Day event delivered incredible savings to our members across millions of deals.” Amazon’s July 12 recap contains the company’s account.
