Amazon Prime Day 2025 ran July 8–11 in the United States, starting at 12:01 a.m. PDT on July 8. It lasted four days. Amazon later called it its biggest Prime Day yet, but that record-size statement is the company’s own claim—not an independently audited sales comparison.
When was Amazon Prime Day 2025?
Amazon’s U.S. announcement scheduled Prime Day from 12:01 a.m. PDT on Tuesday, July 8, through Friday, July 11, 2025. That made it a four-day event, longer than the two-day format used in earlier years. Amazon’s U.S. announcement provided the PDT start time. Amazon UK also announced July 8–11 and described the event as 96 hours of savings, but local start and end times may differ by marketplace.

Was Prime Day 2025 Amazon’s biggest ever?
Amazon said it was. In a July 12 recap, the company called Prime Day 2025 its biggest shopping event yet and said customers saved billions across more than 35 product categories. Amazon did not give an exact savings total in that recap, and the cited information does not establish an independently audited sales or savings ranking. Treat “biggest” as Amazon’s reported characterization, not a verified comparison of sales.
Amazon also identified the Ring Battery Doorbell and Fire TV Stick HD among the event’s best-selling items. Those examples describe Amazon’s reported results; they do not show that every deal was a good value or that shoppers received a uniform discount.

What changed in 2025?
The clearest change was duration: Prime Day expanded to four days rather than the two-day format used in earlier events. Amazon’s UK announcement called the window 96 hours of savings. The longer schedule meant more time to shop, but it did not guarantee that every offer lasted for the full event.
Amazon vice president of North America Marketing and Prime Tech Carmen Nestares described the event in the company’s announcement as “our biggest Prime Day yet, with more days than ever and millions of deals.” That was promotional language accompanying the event announcement; the later recap supplied Amazon’s reported results, not an independent audit.

What shoppers should know now
Prime Day 2025 has ended. Its advertised offers should not be treated as currently available, and its dates do not determine the timing or duration of a future Prime Day.
