What the opening meant to local guests
Perth Lord Mayor Basil Zempilas called Sephora’s arrival “a huge vote of confidence for the retail centre of our CBD,” as quoted by PerthNow on 20 October 2022. Opening host and Perth influencer Dominic Porra said local shoppers would no longer “get major FOMO” over new beauty launches and could experience them in person. These were comments about the opening, not evidence of a measured economic impact.
