Michele Dolin left the Government Employees’ Superannuation Board (GESB) in May 2011, according to a January 2012 report by Super Review. Howard Rosario was later appointed chief executive after a period of acting leadership. The headline “GESB chief Michele Dolin to step down” refers to that past departure, not a new leadership change.
When did Michele Dolin leave GESB?
Super Review reported on 31 January 2012 that Dolin had left GESB in May 2011. The report does not establish the precise day, explain her reason for leaving, or specify whether she resigned or departed under another arrangement.
Who succeeded Michele Dolin as GESB chief executive?
Howard Rosario, previously chief executive of Westscheme, was appointed GESB’s new chief executive, according to the same Super Review report. The article said acting chief executives Fabian Ross and Larry Rudman had led GESB after Dolin’s departure and before Rosario’s appointment.
Dolin’s appointment and later career
Western Australia’s Government Enterprises Minister Nick Griffiths announced Dolin’s appointment as GESB chief executive and employer director on 29 July 2003. The government announcement cited her earlier senior roles at BankWest, Westpac and Challenge Bank, and her experience in planning, finance, corporate governance and human resources.

Jacana Energy’s 2021–22 annual report identifies Dolin as the organisation’s chair, appointed on 27 May 2022, and describes her as a former GESB chief executive. That later role does not provide an explanation for her departure from GESB.

As of 8 October 2026, GESB’s executive leadership page lists Joann Wilkie PSM as chief executive. GESB announced on 7 August 2026 that Wilkie would commence in the role on 12 August. The announcement said interim chief executive Paul Taylor would return to his chief investment officer role.
GESB says its executive team oversees more than $46 billion in funds as at 31 December 2025. That is current organisational context, not a measure of GESB’s size during Dolin’s tenure. By comparison, the 2003 appointment announcement reported more than $3.3 billion under management and more than 265,000 members at that time.
