Coles’ Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts collectibles were part of Magical Builders, a Coles and Warner Bros. Consumer Products promotion announced in June 2022. From 6 July 2022, shoppers were offered one character for each $30 spent in a single transaction at participating Coles channels. That offer has ended; it is not a current Coles promotion.
How the Coles Magical Builders offer worked
Coles announced the campaign on 28 June 2022, with the promotion due to start on Wednesday 6 July. The offer was one character with every qualifying $30 transaction at Coles supermarkets, Coles Online or Coles Express, according to Coles’ announcement. The $30 threshold applied to a single transaction, not a total accumulated across separate purchases.
The release described the characters as free with qualifying spend. It did not say that shoppers could choose which character they received, so the announcement alone does not establish a choice or guarantee of a particular figure.
What was in the Magical Builders range?
Coles said the collection included more than 30 characters, including Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, as well as five special editions. The release also described a collector case sized for all 35 characters.

Four buildable settings
Customers could assemble cardboard play kits depicting four locations from the films:
- Hogwarts Castle
- A Quidditch pitch
- Platform 9¾
- The Hogwarts Express
Coles listed the play kits at $9.75 to $15 in its 28 June 2022 announcement. These were separately priced products, unlike the character offered with qualifying spend; the release does not provide a current price or availability.

Collector case
The Hogwarts Trunk Collector Case was described as holding all 35 characters. Coles’ announcement does not establish whether the case was included with the offer or give its price, so it should not be treated as part of the free-character deal.
What Coles said about materials and recycling
Coles described the characters as made from 100% FSC-certified cardboard and said they could be recycled in household recycling bins. It also characterized the kits and characters as plastic-free and recyclable. Forest Stewardship Council CEO Damian Paull described the range as made with responsibly sourced FSC-certified materials in the same Coles release.

These are claims attributed to Coles and the FSC statement. The announcement does not establish that every component, including every part of packaging, had identical material or recycling properties.
Magical Builders is not the same as Coles Magical Discs

No current Coles availability is established by the 2022 announcement. It documents a past promotion, not present stock or resale listings. Hasbro announced on 10 February 2026 that a multi-year Harry Potter licensing partnership would begin in 2027, but that announcement describes planned product categories and does not confirm that particular collectibles are currently for sale.
