Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) announced it on September 9, 2025. The latest reveal, announced in September 2026, is for the 2027 season: two online-only cookies, Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables.
What is Exploremores?
GSUSA describes Exploremores as a sandwich cookie inspired by rocky road ice cream, filled with chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted-almond-flavored crème. It joined the established varieties in the 2026 lineup. That is the organization’s product description, not a firsthand taste review. GSUSA’s 2026 announcement introduced the cookie on September 9, 2025.

Why are Patch Pals and Sparkables being announced now?
“For 2026” refers to the cookie season, not the year of the announcement. Exploremores was announced in 2025 for the 2026 season. In September 2026, GSUSA announced Patch Pals and Girl Scout Sparkables for the 2027 season. The distinction matters if you are looking for the newest cookie: Exploremores is the 2026 addition; Patch Pals and Sparkables are the more recent reveal.

GSUSA developed Patch Pals with BARK and Sparkables with Partake. The organization says Sparkables was made in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens. That facility description is not a guarantee that the cookie is safe for every person with an allergy; check current package labeling and contact GSUSA if you need ingredient or allergen details. The announcement does not include a complete ingredient statement. GSUSA’s 2027 announcement provides the product descriptions and partner details.

When and where can you buy them?
For Exploremores and other cookies, GSUSA advises buyers to contact a Girl Scout, check with a local council, or use the Cookie Finder to locate a booth or arrange troop shipping. The national season generally runs January through April, but local dates vary. The official cookie-buying guidance explains those options.
Patch Pals and Sparkables are different: GSUSA announced them as online-exclusive products, with direct shipping starting January 12, 2027. That date applies to the announced online shipping window, not necessarily to local in-person cookie sales. GSUSA did not state prices in its announcement. The Associated Press reported in September 2026 that prices for the new cookies had not been disclosed and that boxes typically cost roughly $6–$7 depending on region; that is regional context, not a confirmed price for either cookie. The Associated Press report gives that qualification.

GSUSA says proceeds stay with local councils and troops to fund Girl Scout programs and experiences. The organization also describes the cookie program as a way for Girl Scouts to practice goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. GSUSA’s cookie-program information explains the local use of proceeds and the skills involved.
