What was the Sweetgreen and COTE collaboration?
Sweetgreen described the partnership as its first Korean barbecue-inspired menu, developed with COTE Korean Steakhouse, which the announcement called Michelin-starred. The dishes combined Sweetgreen ingredients with flavors and accompaniments associated with Korean barbecue. Restaurant Business also described the collaboration as three limited-time dishes developed by COTE founder Simon Kim: Restaurant Business.
Sweetgreen co-founder and Chief Concept Officer Nicolas Jammet said, “Korean barbecue is all about connection—sharing food, stories, and moments around the table.” Sweetgreen’s May 7, 2025 announcement introduced the menu and its launch dates.
What was on the Sweetgreen KBBQ menu?
The three dishes differed mainly in format: two included steak, while the salad centered greens and vegetables.

Why was COTE part of the menu?
The collaboration connected Sweetgreen’s salad-and-bowl formats with COTE’s steakhouse identity. Simon Kim, founder and CEO of Gracious Hospitality Management, described COTE’s approach as a “beef-and-leaf philosophy—serving steak alongside pickled vegetables.” Sweetgreen’s announcement also identified Kim’s hospitality group with COTE Korean Steakhouse and COQODAQ.

Is the Sweetgreen COTE menu still available?
That is not established by the available information. Sweetgreen announced a nationwide limited-time launch for May 13, 2025, and said SG Rewards members could access the dishes early through the app or online ordering on May 12, 2025. Those dates and the early-access offer are historical, not evidence of current availability.
Sweetgreen’s newsroom listing does not resolve whether the dishes can still be ordered in October 2026. Check the current Sweetgreen app or ordering site for your location before making plans; a past nationwide launch does not establish that a limited-time item remains on a local menu.
