First identify what is missing: a deposit, a referral reward, or another promotional trading credit. They follow different rules, so check the transaction or offer record before taking action. For Kalshi referral credits, look in Rewards and Activity → Credit, confirm the offer’s requirements and expiry, and check whether you must claim it. For a deposit or a different promotion, use that platform’s official instructions; the available Kalshi guidance does not establish a universal wait time or recovery process.
Start by identifying what has not appeared
A missing deposit is not the same as a bonus that has not been claimed or credited. A deposit is money you sent to the platform; a referral bonus or trade credit is a promotion governed by its own eligibility and claim rules. Kalshi’s Help Center separates deposits and withdrawals, programs and promotions, and support into distinct help areas, so use the section that matches the issue: Kalshi Help Center.
- Deposit: Check the platform’s deposit or transaction record and follow its official instructions for that payment method.
- Referral credit: Check the offer terms, eligibility, claim steps, and credit record.
- Other promotional credit: Open the specific offer and follow its account-specific instructions. Referral rules should not be assumed to apply to a different promotion.
For a Kalshi referral credit, check these records and requirements
Kalshi’s Referral Program FAQ, published August 25, 2026, describes referral credits specifically. It says the applicable reward amount and requirements depend on the program offered to the account, so check the offer shown in your account rather than relying on a promotion description elsewhere.
1. Review the offer in Rewards
Open Rewards and inspect the referral offer for the steps you must complete, any trading requirement, and the expiration date. Those details can differ by account or program.

2. Check Activity → Credit and any claim step
A referred user’s credit may appear automatically or require an “Unlock your referral bonus” step in the onboarding checklist. On the web, inspect Activity → Credit; in the app, go to Menu → Activity → Credit. A referring user should also check the referrals area for a claim step if a reward has been issued. Looking only at the cash balance may not reveal a separately displayed or unclaimed credit.
3. Confirm referral eligibility
Kalshi says a valid referral link or code must be used during signup, or entered within 72 hours of account creation and before the first deposit. The account must also be fully verified through KYC. The FAQ says a code cannot be added retroactively after that window closes or replaced once applied.

4. Check whether the credit expired
Kalshi’s general rule is that referral credits expire seven days after issuance unless the offer says otherwise. Check the account display for the specific expiry. Under the FAQ’s stated policy, expired referral credits cannot be reissued, reinstated, or extended.
Understand what a referral credit can—and cannot—do
Kalshi describes referral credits as trading credit, not cash. The original credit generally cannot be withdrawn, though profits made using it may be withdrawable. Check the offer terms and account display for the conditions that apply to your credit.

Use the relevant platform’s official deposit, promotion, or support instructions and provide the transaction or offer details they request. The Kalshi referral FAQ does not establish a timing promise or recovery procedure for delayed deposits or non-referral promotions. Do not assume another deposit will diagnose the problem or that support can restore an expired or ineligible bonus.
