Usually, no: promotional trade credit is not withdrawable cash. On Kalshi, referral and perps promotional credits cannot themselves be withdrawn, although eligible profits or winnings made by trading with them may be. The exact answer depends on the platform, account, and offer terms—not on a general prediction-market rule.
What “withdrawable” means when an account includes trade credit
A displayed balance can combine different kinds of funds. A promotional credit may be available to place trades without being cash that can be sent out to a bank or wallet. Any proceeds from trading with that credit are a separate amount, and whether they can be withdrawn depends on the applicable terms and settlement rules.
Kalshi’s referral FAQ puts the distinction plainly: “Referral credits aren’t cash, they’re designed for trading on the platform.” It says profits made using referral credits become withdrawable cash. Its perps promotion guidance likewise says the credits themselves cannot be withdrawn, while winnings from trading with them can be. Predictions portfolio
Kalshi’s Predictions portfolio guide says, “Credit shows your nonwithdrawable credit balance.” It also says that this credit is already included in Cash. Perps account
Perps promotional credits are added to the perps account, not the Predictions balance, and Kalshi says they cannot be transferred between the two. A credit or resulting winnings in one account should not be assumed to appear as cash in the other. Kalshi perps promotional credits
For perps withdrawals, Kalshi says settled cash can be withdrawn only when it is not allocated to an open position or resting order. Its guide says settlement typically completes within 24 hours in the circumstances it describes; check the account’s current status rather than treating that as a universal deadline. Common bonus conditions: expiry, eligibility, and posting
Read the specific offer attached to your account. Requirements can differ by campaign, and the credit’s existence does not by itself establish that you have met the conditions to receive it or withdraw proceeds.
- Referral credit expiry: Kalshi says referral credits generally must be used within 7 days of issuance unless the offer says otherwise. It says expired referral credits cannot be reinstated or extended; check the expiry displayed in the app. Kalshi Referral Program FAQ

How to check whether your credit or proceeds can be withdrawn
- Open the offer details. Check the Rewards section, bonus or activity entry, or offer email. Identify qualifying activity, eligibility window, account type, and expiry date; Kalshi directs users to the Rewards section or offer-specific terms for these details. - Identify what the balance represents. Look for labels such as credit, cash, or withdrawable amount. On Kalshi, the Predictions Credit line is nonwithdrawable and already included in Cash. Kalshi: Portfolio: Balances and Positions
- Confirm the account holding the funds. If the offer is for perps, check the separate perps account; those credits do not transfer to Predictions. Kalshi perps promotional credits

- Ask support if terms and the dashboard conflict. Get an answer about that specific credit before making a trade solely to unlock it. Do not assume that trading will convert the original credit into cash; the cited Kalshi terms distinguish the credit from any eligible winnings.
Do not infer another platform’s bonus terms from its withdrawal guide

Polymarket also documents liquidity rewards for qualifying limit orders and holding rewards for eligible positions. Those are separate reward programs, not proof of a promotional trade-credit withdrawal rule. For example, its liquidity rewards page states that each day’s payout has a $1 minimum and that below-minimum daily earnings do not roll over; this condition applies to that reward program, not to bonus-credit principal.
