If your Roblox gift card is damaged, keep the card and its receipt, try to redeem it at roblox.com/redeem in a browser if the PIN is still readable, and contact Roblox Support if it will not redeem. Roblox’s terms do not promise a replacement for a physically damaged card, so Support has to assess your specific card before any remedy is offered.
Step 1: Keep the card, packaging and receipt
Do not throw away the card, its packaging, or your purchase record, even if the card looks ruined. Support uses the receipt and card images to check the purchase, and a card with a readable PIN may still redeem. Photograph the front and back of the card now, before it deteriorates further.
Step 2: Try redeeming a readable PIN online
Roblox’s retail-code guidance tells customers to redeem in a web browser rather than through the Roblox app or a console. Use this sequence:
- Open a browser on a computer or phone and go to roblox.com/redeem.
- Sign in to the account that should receive the Robux.
- Enter the PIN exactly as printed. Scratched or smudged characters are easy to misread, so check each one against the card: a 0 and an O, or a 1 and an I, can look alike. Do not guess at characters you cannot see.
- Submit the code and read the message shown. If it fails, take a screenshot of the error message, because Support asks for it.
Step 3: If the code says it has already been redeemed
Roblox says the Robux may have been added to another account. Before concluding the card failed, check the accounts you or family members use. If the card was sealed and untampered with when you bought it, Roblox directs the customer to Support with the receipt and the code.

- Your Roblox username
- The purchase date and amount
- The store name and city where you bought the card
- Your country of residence
- The card PIN and serial number
- An image of the receipt
- Images of the card’s front and back, or the full e-gift card if you received it digitally
- An image of any error message
Roblox says images must be in JPG or PNG format. Support will decide what, if anything, can be done for the card.

What Roblox’s terms say about damaged cards
Roblox publishes separate gift-card terms for each region, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. The terms for the country where you bought the card are the ones that apply. The U.S. terms, issued by Roblox Prepaid Company, LLC and last updated April 30, 2026, state:
“Lost, damaged, or stolen Gift Cards are not the responsibility of Issuer. The value of any lost, damaged or stolen Gift Cards, or any Gift Cards used without authorization, will not be replaced or replenished.”

The same terms also contain this sentence:
“IN THE EVENT THAT A CARD IS NON-FUNCTIONAL, YOUR SOLE REMEDY, AND OUR SOLE LIABILITY, SHALL BE THE REPLACEMENT OF SUCH CARD.”
Read together, the two clauses separate a card that is damaged in your possession from one that is non-functional. Physical damage on its own is not a basis for replacement under the U.S. wording. A card that will not work for reasons Roblox accepts is a different case, and the terms name replacement as the remedy. The U.K. and New Zealand terms contain comparable wording on lost and damaged cards, so check the version for your country rather than assuming the U.S. text applies.

Which route fits your situation
| Situation | First move | What to have ready |
|---|---|---|
| PIN is legible and the code redeems | Redeem at roblox.com/redeem in a browser | Nothing further is needed |
| PIN is legible but the code fails | Re-check each character, retry in a browser, then contact Support | Screenshot of the error message, card images, receipt |
| Code says it has already been redeemed | Check other accounts you or family members use | Receipt; if the card was sealed at purchase, the code as well, for Support |
| PIN is scratched off or unreadable | Contact Roblox Support | Full checklist from Step 4, including PIN, serial number and images |
| Card is non-functional, not merely damaged | Contact Support and ask them to assess the card under the non-functional clause | Full checklist from Step 4 |
What will not fix the problem
- Buying another Roblox gift card does not recover the value on the damaged one.
- Repeatedly retrying a code you cannot read accurately adds no information for Support and may only produce errors.
Keep the damaged card, document it, and let Support decide based on the evidence you provide.
