What to Do If Your Air France KLM Visa Miles or Silver Status Don’t Post

Flight Miles, U.S. Visa rewards, anniversary XP, and Silver status have different posting timelines. Identify the missing credit and follow the matching support route.

First identify what is missing: Visa-earned Miles, an anniversary reward, flight-earned Miles, or the XP needed for Silver. Each follows a different posting timeline and support path. KLM says eligible flight Miles should appear within 24 hours after travel; the U.S. Bank of America Air France KLM Visa Signature disclosure allows 1–2 billing cycles for card Miles and anniversary rewards.

Start by identifying the missing credit

Check your Flying Blue activity and status progress, then note whether the missing item is Miles or XP and what was supposed to earn it. Miles from a flight, Miles from Visa purchases, anniversary Miles, and anniversary XP are separate credits; a missing status display is not itself proof that XP failed to post.

  • Flight: Miles earned from eligible travel.
  • Visa purchases: Card-earned Miles.
  • Card anniversary: Anniversary Miles and XP, if applicable.
  • Status: XP progress toward Silver. KLM lists 100 XP as the Silver threshold.

These card timelines apply to the U.S. Air France KLM Visa Signature, issued and administered by Bank of America; do not assume they apply to cards issued in other countries.

If flight-earned Miles are missing

Check the flight credit details

Confirm that your Flying Blue number was attached to the booking or ticket. KLM says members earn flight Miles by providing their Flying Blue number when booking and that Miles are added within 24 hours after the flight. Allow that period to pass before treating the credit as overdue. KLM’s Flying Blue earning guidance also directs members to claim missing Miles.

Submit a claim through the airline route

If the Miles are still absent after 24 hours, use the missing-Miles claim route. Air France’s U.S. claims page provides separate routes for Air France- or KLM-operated flights and partner flights, so select the route matching the carrier. Air France’s claims page is the official starting point.

If Visa-earned Miles or anniversary rewards are missing

Allow the card’s stated posting window

For the U.S. Air France KLM Visa Signature, Bank of America’s 2026 disclosure says to allow 1–2 billing cycles for card Miles to be credited. Anniversary Miles and XP are also scheduled within 1–2 billing cycles after the account anniversary. These are billing cycles, not a fixed number of days.

Check which Flying Blue account receives the reward

The disclosure says the email address on the card application is linked to Flying Blue and that card Miles are deposited in the primary cardholder’s Flying Blue account. If you are a supplementary cardholder, check the primary cardholder’s account rather than expecting the Miles to appear in your own. Verify that the account you are checking is associated with the card’s Flying Blue linkage.

Contact the card issuer if the window has passed

If the expected card Miles or anniversary rewards have not appeared after the stated 1–2 billing-cycle window, contact Bank of America through the contact details on your card account or statement. Bank of America administers the card account; the cited disclosure does not specify a dedicated missing-rewards form or a response deadline. The KLM card page describes the card, while Bank of America’s card disclosure gives its posting terms.

If Silver status has not updated

KLM lists 100 XP as the threshold for Silver. Review your Flying Blue XP activity and qualification progress to determine whether the expected XP has posted and whether the threshold is met. A delayed display and missing XP can look similar, but the official information cited here does not establish that they share the same cause or resolution route. The Flying Blue program page explains status qualification.

If the XP came from the Visa’s anniversary reward, use the card’s 1–2 billing-cycle window and contact Bank of America about an overdue card reward. If it was expected from travel, check the relevant Flying Blue activity and contact Flying Blue for account-specific help; the flight-Miles claim procedure does not, by itself, establish a process for correcting XP or a status display.
