What Six Assets Did Robert Kiyosaki Say He Was Buying During Inflation?

In a statement attributed to Robert Kiyosaki on November 24, 2021, he said he was buying more gold, silver, rental real estate, oil, Bitcoin and Ethereum. The list records what Kiyosaki said he was buying; it does not show that these assets reliably rise during inflation.

What are Kiyosaki’s six assets?

  1. Gold
  2. Silver
  3. Rental real estate
  4. Oil
  5. Bitcoin
  6. Ethereum

Tech Times reported the list in a November 24, 2021 article and reproduced a statement attributed to Kiyosaki’s Twitter account. In it, Kiyosaki referred to Dollar Tree’s planned move from a $1 price point to $1.25, called inflation a tax on the poor and middle class, and said he was buying the six assets. The original post was linked from the report but could not be independently accessed; the wording here is therefore attributed through Tech Times, not verified against the post itself. Read the Tech Times report.

What does the statement establish—and what does it not?

It establishes the choices Kiyosaki said he was making at that time. It does not establish that the six assets performed well during inflation, that they outperformed other investments, or that they are suitable for a particular investor. The report offers no return comparison, measurement period, or analysis of holding and operating costs. Because the list spans commodities, rental property and cryptocurrencies, it should not be treated as a single, tested strategy.

What was the inflation figure mentioned in the report?

Tech Times cited U.S. inflation of 6.2% in October 2021 and attributed that historical statistic to Pew Research Center. It is a figure for that month, reported secondhand by Tech Times—not a current inflation reading or a measure of how any of the six assets performed.

How does Rich Dad Poor Dad fit in?

Kiyosaki is the author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, which Tech Times identifies in its report. The book may be relevant further reading about Kiyosaki’s views on money, but authorship does not verify the performance claim or turn his personal list into investment advice.
