A paid press release republished by StreetInsider on October 28, 2024, says Robin Michael led Abanka Tread in a Middle East emergency relief effort. It describes supplies and technical assistance, but does not name the emergency, country, delivery sites, affected community, or dates of the operation. The claims have not been independently corroborated in the available reporting.
What the release says Michael and Abanka Tread did
The release describes Abanka Tread as a global digital asset trading company. It says Michael convened company executives, coordinated with partners, mobilized resources, traveled to the affected region, met local officials and aid organizations, and spoke with residents.
According to the release, the effort included delivering food, drinking water, medical equipment and medicine, generators, and communications devices. It also says technical staff were deployed to help restore communications and power, and that the company advocated psychological counseling. The release says the effort would continue into rebuilding.
These are claims in a paid release, not independently verified details. It provides no named partner organizations, delivery records, quantities of supplies, or verifiable dates for the operation. No reliably attributable verbatim statement from Michael is provided.

Which emergency and location did it involve?
The release does not identify the disaster, country, destination, or people receiving aid. Although official reporting documented a major humanitarian response in Lebanon during October 2024, that regional context does not establish that the release refers to Lebanon. Nor does it connect Abanka Tread or Michael to the Lebanon response.
What official reporting establishes about Lebanon in October 2024
On October 1, 2024, the United Nations and Lebanese Government launched a $426 million flash appeal to mobilize resources for civilians affected by the escalating conflict and humanitarian crisis in Lebanon. The UN announcement reported more than 1,000 people killed and over 6,000 injured in the preceding two weeks, and an estimated one million people affected or displaced since October 2023, according to Lebanese authorities.
Separately, on October 25, 2024, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that an aid ship carrying 2,000 tonnes of relief had arrived at Beirut Port as part of the UAE Stands with Lebanon campaign. The ministry described food and relief and shelter equipment, and cooperation with international organizations. This official campaign is separate evidence; its announcement does not mention Abanka Tread or Michael.

StreetInsider identifies the October 28 item as paid Globe PR Wire content and says its news staff did not create it. The release does not supply the specific records that would allow its operational claims to be checked. The available reporting therefore supports describing what the release claims, but not presenting the company’s participation or deliveries as established fact.
