RBC’s Vantage Snapshot is a feature inside the RBC Mobile app that summarizes certain savings and available Avion points tied to eligible RBC products. RBC reported its launch on March 10, 2022; it is not a separate account or a newly launched tool.
What is Vantage Snapshot?
RBC Vantage describes benefits associated with eligible RBC bank accounts. Vantage Snapshot is the in-app view of some of those benefits: it can show cost savings, an available Avion points balance and personalized tips for finding more savings or rewards. The Value Program is one way eligible customers may receive benefits, including qualifying fee rebates and Avion points on debit purchases. The Snapshot is a summary, not a guarantee that every customer receives the same benefits.
RBC announced the feature in 2022. In its March 10, 2022 report, MobileSyrup quoted RBC senior vice president of everyday banking Jason Storsley describing it as part of the bank’s effort to demonstrate value from customers’ day-to-day banking. Those launch comments describe RBC’s rationale; they do not establish a typical savings amount or customer outcome.
Who can see it and how to find it
RBC says access requires an eligible RBC bank account, RBC Online Banking and RBC Mobile. The Snapshot appears once an eligible customer has saved at least $2 or earned at least 1 Avion point. Private banking clients cannot access the feature.
#1 Best Overall
- Sign in to the RBC Mobile app.
- Tap More.
- Tap Vantage Snapshot.
If the option or a Snapshot does not appear, eligibility, the minimum activity threshold or account exclusions may explain why. Check RBC’s Vantage Snapshot information for current terms and availability.
What information the Snapshot can include
Cost savings
RBC says the Cost Savings view may include monthly account-fee savings, annual credit-card-fee rebates, Petro-Canada fuel savings and RBC welcome offers. The reported period is the calendar year, January 1 through December 31. Some amounts update on different schedules, so the display may not reflect every benefit at the same time. USD accounts and Leo’s Young Savers accounts are not included in Cost Savings details.

Avion points
The feature can show a total available Avion points balance with a breakdown by product. It may be absent if the customer has not earned at least 1 Avion point or does not otherwise meet the eligibility rules.
Personalized tips
RBC may provide suggestions for finding additional savings or rewards. The information shown is personalized, so two customers can see different details based on their eligible products and activity.

How Snapshot differs from other RBC terms
- RBC Vantage: the broader description of benefits associated with eligible bank accounts.
- Vantage Snapshot: the RBC Mobile feature that brings selected savings and rewards information together.
- Value Program: one program through which eligible customers may receive benefits such as qualifying fee rebates and Avion points on debit purchases.
RBC also offers separate money-management features, including NOMI; they are not part of Vantage Snapshot.
