Palmer Luckey, Anduril’s founder, was reported in 2024 to have a Black Hawk helicopter and a Mark V Special Operations Craft, and to collect decommissioned missile sites. But “has it all” is a playful headline, not a verified inventory: Luckey did not confirm owning one specific Atlas silo, and the cited coverage does not establish what he owns today.
What the 2024 reports say Luckey had
Interesting Engineering’s May 22, 2024 profile connected Luckey’s reported military-vehicle collection and missile-site interest with Anduril’s work on its Fury autonomous fighter project. A June 30, 2024 Los Angeles Times profile independently reported that he had a Black Hawk helicopter and a Mark V Special Operations Craft, along with a collection of decommissioned missile sites. Neither article establishes a complete or current inventory.
- Black Hawk: Reported as part of Luckey’s collection by Interesting Engineering and the Los Angeles Times.
- Mark V Special Operations Craft: Also reported by both publications. The Interesting Engineering article attributes to Luckey the description, “It was designed specifically for Navy SEAL insertion and extraction missions.”
- Missile sites: The Los Angeles Times described Luckey’s collecting and his ambition to restore decommissioned sites as a museum. That is distinct from confirmation that he owns any particular site.
The original article’s account of the boat and missile-site comments draws on a Bloomberg The Circuit interview. Apple Podcasts lists the relevant episode as published May 16, 2024; that listing identifies the interview and date, rather than independently verifying ownership.
Does Palmer Luckey own a missile silo?
The Los Angeles Times reported Luckey’s interest in collecting and restoring decommissioned missile sites, but said he declined to confirm or deny ownership of a specific Atlas silo. It is therefore accurate to describe a reported collection and a stated museum ambition; it is not accurate to present ownership of that Atlas silo as confirmed.

Luckey explained the museum rationale to the newspaper: “There are so many air museums, quite a few naval museums and ship museums, and there’s literally only one missile museum in the United States, the Titan II in Tucson, Arizona.” The statement was published in the June 30, 2024 profile.
What is the Mark V Special Operations Craft?
The Mark V is a military craft associated with Navy SEAL insertion and extraction missions. The Interesting Engineering article describes it as a boat Luckey had and attributes its mission description to his remarks on The Circuit. That article also says the Mark V entered Navy service in 1995 and describes an engine with “a little over 5,000 horsepower”; those are details reported there, not a current technical specification or a claim independently verified by the other cited profile.

How does Anduril’s Fury fit into the story?
Interesting Engineering connected Luckey’s personal collection to Anduril’s Fury autonomous fighter project and described a half-scale model in the interview context. The profile is a 2024 account; it does not establish Fury’s status in October 2026. Nor does a half-scale model, by itself, establish that a program is closer to completion.

The two 2024 profiles support a dated account of reported vehicles, missile-site collecting and a museum ambition—not a present-day asset list. They do not establish Luckey’s current inventory, the current ownership status of any site, or how far restoration has progressed. A specific Atlas silo remains unconfirmed in the cited reporting.
