What kind of jet does Rick Ross have?
Ross’s aircraft is identified as a Gulfstream G550. He discussed it in an April 2025 interview with Haute Living, describing it as his first jet. A 2023 report identified it as a 2012 model-year G550 and said he had acquired it that year.
The G550’s interior had been redone, Ross said, “like the G600.” That describes the cabin refurbishment; it does not mean the aircraft is a G600.
What does Rick Ross’s Gulfstream look like?
Duncan Aviation, the company that painted the aircraft, says the exterior is gloss black and pearl gold. The fuselage carries “Rick Ross” lettering. Cabin monitors show “Biggest Boss” through the aircraft’s tail-camera view.

Ross’s reaction to the customization, quoted by Duncan Aviation from his Instagram page, was: “This is my first jet I ever bought, so I said if I’m gonna do it, I’m gonna do it right!”
Does Rick Ross charter his jet?
In his 2025 Haute Living interview, Ross said he had not chartered it and did not plan to. He described it as for personal use, including travel for loved ones, family or his team. That is what he said at the time of the interview, not confirmation of how the aircraft may be used later.

Did Rick Ross spend $5 billion on the jet?
No verified report establishes that he paid $5 billion—or confirms any specific purchase price. A 2023 Celebrity Net Worth report explained that Ross referred to a “$5 billion play,” not a $5 billion aircraft. The report said his actual transaction price was unknown. Market estimates published in that article are not proof of what he paid.

Published registration references conflict, so a current registration should not be treated as settled. The 2023 report identified the G550 as N676AS. A PrivJet tracking page later associated N33055 with Maybach Air LLC, while warning that registry data may be outdated. That tracking-page association alone does not establish the aircraft’s current ownership or location.
