Led by LG NOVA, the company’s North America Innovation Center, the initiative is intended to connect corporate partners and startups to develop technologies, explore business ideas and pursue commercial partnerships. LG has described the program’s goals and launch partners, but its public materials do not establish quantified results, current eligibility rules or a current application process.
What the LG NOVA Partner Alliance Program is
LG describes the Partner Alliance Program as a platform for cross-industry collaboration between corporate partners and startups. Its stated work includes technology and business development, exploring concepts, testing and validating ideas, and pursuing commercial partnerships. The program extends LG NOVA’s startup-focused work by bringing corporate partners into the collaboration model. LG NOVA’s launch announcement and its program page describe this approach.
LG said the initiative would draw on resources from existing LG Electronics business units and the startup pipeline and resources available through its Mission for the Future initiative. In practical terms, the announced model is meant to connect outside organizations and startups with LG resources to explore whether an idea can be developed into a solution or business opportunity.

LG said the partners would work with the LG NOVA startup ecosystem to generate and explore concepts, develop and validate them, collaborate on product solutions, and potentially co-create businesses. These were announced intentions; the release does not establish that each activity occurred or that every partner pursued the same type of project.
What collaboration could look like
A later public example points to mobility as one area LG wanted to explore. LG NOVA said LG Vehicle Solutions would work with it to explore startup collaborations in software and data management, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and mobility-as-a-service. The announcement describes an area of intended collaboration, not completed commercial results. LG NOVA’s InnoFest 2024 recap also says the Partner Alliance Program launched at that event.

How a company can assess whether to approach LG NOVA
LG’s public descriptions do not set out current eligibility criteria or a formal joining process. A company considering an approach can use the program’s stated aims to assess whether a conversation may be relevant, without treating these considerations as published requirements:
- Participant role: Identify whether the organization would contribute as a startup or a corporate partner.
- Strategic fit: Explain how the proposed work could align with LG or a relevant LG business unit.
- Technology or market: Specify the problem, technology, or market area the collaboration would address.
- Development readiness: Describe what could be developed, tested, or validated together.
- Commercial objective: Clarify the partnership or business opportunity the parties would explore.
Because the available public material does not verify current program status, participation terms, contact route, or a complete current partner roster, prospective participants should confirm those details directly with LG NOVA before planning around the opportunity.
