BforeAI announced its PreCrime Guarantee on May 28, 2024: a pledge to reimburse eligible customers up to a stated limit if they suffer a cyberattack because the company’s predictive solution failed. BforeAI’s current page says the ceiling is up to 10 times annual service contract value, but the public summary does not provide the complete terms needed to calculate or claim reimbursement.
What BforeAI announced
BforeAI described the PreCrime Guarantee as a breach-protection pledge for customers using its PreCrime predictive attack-intelligence and digital-risk-protection platform. The launch announcement said a customer impacted by a cyberattack due to a failure of the predictive solution could be reimbursed up to 10 times the service contract value. The company’s current guarantee page phrases the maximum as up to 10 times annual service contract value. Those descriptions differ in their contract-value basis, so the applicable customer agreement—not the headline—would determine the calculation.
The current page says a customer submits proof of loss if a successful attack occurs because the solution failed. Neither that summary nor the launch announcement supplies the complete legal terms. “Up to” is a ceiling, not a promise that every incident will qualify or that every customer will receive the maximum.
What the public material does—and does not—establish
The broad trigger presented is a successful cyberattack associated with failure of BforeAI’s predictive solution. The public sources do not define the precise test for a qualifying attack or a solution failure, nor do they set out the full claims process. Before relying on the pledge in a purchasing or risk decision, ask for the agreement and confirm these points in writing:

- How the agreement defines a qualifying cyberattack and a failure of the solution.
- How reimbursement is calculated, what contract value applies, and whether the stated limit is an aggregate cap or applies per incident.
- Which types of loss or expense are eligible, and which are excluded.
- What proof is required, who evaluates it, and what deadlines apply.
- Which agreement governs, how disputes are handled, and how the pledge interacts with the customer’s separate cyber insurance.
The reviewed public pages do not establish eligibility criteria, exclusions, claim deadlines, covered-loss definitions, or a dispute procedure. A buyer should not treat the marketing summary as a substitute for the signed customer agreement.
Is the PreCrime Guarantee insurance?
BforeAI’s customer-facing guarantee page calls the promise “Not insurance – just accountability.” Munich Re’s case study separately says the Munich Re Group insures certain liabilities under the guarantee, subject to the policy’s terms and conditions, and that BforeAI’s insurance is underwritten by a primary insurance carrier of the Munich Re Group.

These statements describe different sides of the arrangement: the customer-facing promise is presented as a vendor reimbursement guarantee, while the partner case study describes insurance behind certain related liabilities. They do not make the customer-facing pledge itself an insurance policy or disclose the full policy. The named primary carrier, policy terms, and the extent of insured liabilities are not established in the public material reviewed.
How to interpret the performance claims
BforeAI’s May 28, 2024 announcement reported a 0.05% false positive rate and said its insurance partner validated the platform against its go-to-market claims through a nine-month process. These are company-reported figures and descriptions; the reviewed sources do not independently verify them. They should not be read as a guarantee that attacks will be prevented or that a claim will be approved.

The same announcement quoted Signify Chief Security Officer Gal Messinger saying the company had avoided multiple attacks with PreCrime over two years and that the guarantee helped with budget allocation and expectations about its cyber-insurance premium. This is customer testimony carried in BforeAI’s announcement, not an independently audited outcome or proof of a premium reduction.

The announcement is relevant to enterprise buyers evaluating a predictive cybersecurity service, not a consumer insurance product. Treat the 10-times figure as an advertised maximum whose basis requires confirmation in the contract. Assess the guarantee alongside the platform’s capabilities, the written claim conditions, and your organization’s existing cyber-insurance coverage; do not assume it replaces that coverage.
