SaitaChain was announced as a future blockchain project in Saitama’s roadmap, not as a verified launch. Saitama’s materials described hoped-for transaction, utility, and tax improvements, while a project repository outlines a Layer 0 design with Ethereum Virtual Machine support. Those plans and technical descriptions do not establish that a live production network delivered the promised results. Current operating status remains unverified.
What is SaitaChain?
SaitaChain was the name Saitama used for a proposed blockchain. In the project’s white paper, “Launch of SaitaChain (our Blockchain)” appeared in Phase 3 of its roadmap alongside SaitaCity. A roadmap records an intended milestone; it does not show that the milestone was completed. Saitama white paper
The name should also be distinguished from SaitaChain Coin, or $STC, the token name used in 2024 exchange migration notices. A token rebrand or migration is not evidence that the planned blockchain launched.
What did Saitama announce about SaitaChain?
In the Saitama Development Team’s 2022 Year 2 Preparation AMA presentation, the project described the chain as future work: “Moving to our own blockchain in the future will improve transactions, bring new utilities and reduce tax.” These are stated project goals, not measured outcomes or independently verified benefits. A September 28, 2022 company release placed blockchain development within a broader decentralized-money ecosystem. It described SaitaPro as a mobile and desktop app and named projects including FANG, SaitaRealty, MotionToken, SolidBlock, and MaziMatic. Those descriptions reflect the company’s announcement; they do not establish that every named product or integration was completed. Saitama company release, September 28, 2022
What does the technical repository describe?
The SaitaHub saita-node repository describes SaitaBlockChain (SBC) as a Layer 0 chain intended to enable parachains and integrate the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). Its listed components include Babe and GRANDPA consensus, staking and governance pallets, and XCM. The README also describes a minimum setup for an NPoS testnet and provides development and cloud-node instructions. SaitaHub saita-node repository
This is documentation of the repository’s stated design and setup—not independent evidence of a live public network, production security, throughput, or ongoing maintenance. The repository lists the following node specifications:
| Setup | CPU | RAM | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Minimum | 4 or more cores | 8 GB | 100 GB SSD |
| Recommended | 8 or more cores | 32 GB | 100 GB SSD |
These are repository-published requirements for node setup, not consumer hardware recommendations or evidence of network performance. The available materials provide no verified performance figures with which to assess the chain’s speed, cost, or security.
Did SaitaChain launch?
The materials available here do not establish whether SaitaChain is operating as a live network today. The repository offers technical descriptions, but does not conclusively verify current live-network status. A legacy SaitaChain report URL redirected to a homepage with unrelated gambling content, so it cannot serve as an authoritative status source. The current operating status and location of authoritative current documentation therefore remain unverified. SaitaHub repository · Legacy SaitaChain report URL
What did the 2024 SaitaChain token notices mean?
Two exchange notices documented migrations from SAITAMA to a token named SaitaChain, but with different terms. These notices concern exchange-specific token handling; they do not verify delivery of the blockchain described in Saitama’s earlier roadmap.
| Exchange notice | Reported migration details |
|---|---|
| BitMart, January 2024 | Reported completion of the SAITAMA migration and renaming to SaitaChain ($STC), at a 1:1 conversion ratio; trading resumed January 5, 2024 UTC. BitMart notice |
| Gate, January 27, 2024 | Reported a 1:0.42 SAITAMA-to-SaitaChain (STCHAIN) migration ratio. Gate notice |
The differing ratios show why a migration notice from one exchange should not be assumed to describe another exchange’s terms. Token names, contract addresses, exchange support, and migration routes can change; these notices are not a current recommendation for buying, transferring, or identifying a token.

- Planned: SaitaChain appeared as a future Phase 3 roadmap item.
- Promised: Saitama’s 2022 presentation expressed expectations for transaction improvements, new utility, and reduced tax; it did not report measured results.
- Documented technically: The repository outlines an intended Layer 0/EVM-oriented design and node setup, but does not by itself verify a production network.
- Unresolved: The material cited here does not confirm current operational status or provide an authoritative current documentation location.
Do not confuse SaitaChain with SatuChain. The similar names refer to distinct projects and organizations.
