There is no verified figure for Cameron Diaz’s recurring yearly salary. Forbes estimated her 2025 earnings at $20 million, or $23 million gross, and separately reported a $45 million deal for two Netflix films. Those figures describe an attributed annual estimate and a multi-picture contract—not proof that Diaz receives a guaranteed $20 million salary each year.

What is Cameron Diaz’s current yearly salary?

No public disclosure establishes a current, recurring yearly salary for Diaz. The closest reported figure is Forbes’s estimate of her 2025 earnings: $20 million, or $23 million gross. Forbes also reported a $45 million, two-picture Netflix deal. Both figures come from the same publication and are estimates or reported contract information, not independently confirmed disclosures. Forbes’s 2026 earnings report does not establish that either amount is annual pay guaranteed to recur.

Figure What it refers to What it does not establish
$20 million ($23 million gross) Forbes’s estimate of Diaz’s 2025 earnings, reported in 2026. A verified salary, a guaranteed annual amount, or a confirmed breakdown of income sources.
$45 million Forbes’s reported value for a two-picture Netflix deal. Annual pay or the amount necessarily paid to Diaz in a single year.

The figures should not be added together or treated as equivalent: one is an estimate for a calendar year, while the other is a reported contract value spanning two films. Publicly available information cited here does not break down the earnings estimate by acting fees, business income, residuals, taxes, or payment timing.

Why did she stop acting, and has she returned?

Diaz stepped away from acting for years, but she has since returned. Netflix described Back in Action as her first film in almost a decade. In an interview with Krista Smith for Netflix’s Skip Intro, published January 24, 2025, Diaz explained why choosing collaborators mattered to her: “If I haven’t done a film in 10 years, if I’m going to go back to doing what I really was happy stepping away from, then who I do it with is really, really important.” Netflix’s interview about Back in Action provides the film and interview context.

She also spoke warmly about the hiatus. Sky News reported on January 18, 2025, that Diaz called it “the best 10 years of my life” while appearing on The Graham Norton Show. She said returning made sense for her family; those personal reasons explain her decision, but do not establish her income. Sky News’s report on Diaz’s return covers the remarks.

Does her business activity provide another salary figure?

Diaz has also been associated with Avaline, a wine business. A 2022 CBS News profile documents that activity, but it does not provide a current income figure or verify current partnership terms. It therefore cannot be used to calculate her present yearly earnings.

In short, the available reporting offers an estimate of one year’s earnings and a reported film deal, not a reliable figure for a recurring salary. Diaz’s return to film and her business activity provide context, but they do not fill in the missing income breakdown.
