People can use it, or a mobile number, to send a payment to your account. To find yours, sign in and open the Emails section in Settings on PayPal’s website, or look for Emails in your account or profile information in the app.
What is my PayPal email address?
It is an email address associated with your PayPal account. PayPal uses linked email addresses and mobile numbers as ways to address payments; you do not receive a universal or automatically assigned address ending in @paypal.com. The email address itself is yours, and your PayPal account settings show which address or addresses are linked.

PayPal’s help page explains that an email address can be linked to only one PayPal account at a time. If you need to use an address on another account, remove it from the first account before adding it to the second. PayPal: Can I add my email address to multiple PayPal accounts?
Where do I find my PayPal email address?
On the website
- Sign in to PayPal by entering paypal.com in your browser yourself.
- Open Settings.
- Find the Emails section to view the addresses linked to your account.
In the app
- Open the PayPal app and go to your profile or menu.
- Open profile, account, or contact information.
- Look for Emails.

How do I add, confirm, or change an address?
Add and confirm an address
In the Emails section, add the address and follow the confirmation link PayPal sends to it. A newly added address must be confirmed before it can receive money. If the message does not arrive, check your spam folder, make sure the address was entered correctly, and use the confirmation option in Settings or the app to resend it. Edit or remove an address
You can manage addresses from the Emails section. PayPal says you cannot directly edit or remove the primary email address: first add another address and make it primary, then remove the former primary address if you no longer want it linked.

Can someone send me money with my PayPal email?
Yes, a sender can address a PayPal payment to your email address or mobile number. The email must be linked to your PayPal account and confirmed. If someone sent money to an email address you own but have not added to PayPal, add and confirm it to receive the payment. If you cannot access the address, ask the sender to cancel the payment and send it to the correct one. See PayPal: What should I do if a payment was sent to the wrong email address?
If you receive a payment notice but do not have a PayPal account, do not assume the money is already available. PayPal says you must create an account to accept the payment; if you do not sign up, the money is returned to the sender. Open PayPal directly to check the payment and follow the account prompts rather than using links in an unexpected email. - Double check if the URL/website is genuine before entering card details online. Do not provide any gift card details (example: claim code) to someone you do not know or trust. There are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- If you believe that your Card has been lost or stolen, notify Mastercard immediately by calling 1-833-791-7288. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Mastercard Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Mastercard debit cards are accepted, including online. Your Amazon.com Balance cannot be used to purchase Mastercard gift cards.
How can I tell whether a PayPal payment email is real?
An email that looks as if it came from PayPal is not proof that a payment arrived. Before shipping an item or taking another action based on a payment, sign in to PayPal directly and check Activity. PayPal lists generic greetings, suspicious links, unexpected attachments, urgent language, and requests for account details as warning signs.
- Do not click links, call phone numbers, or open attachments in a suspicious message.
- Forward the full email to [email protected], then delete it.
- To check your account, open the PayPal app or type paypal.com into your browser and sign in.
These steps follow PayPal’s guidance on spotting fake, fraudulent, or phishing emails and websites. If an address appears to be linked to your account unexpectedly, PayPal says possible explanations include someone entering it by mistake or deliberately, or an email provider reassigning an inactive address. Check the account directly and contact PayPal through its official site if you need help.
