ReThink’s on-air Shark Tank deal reportedly never went beyond the handshake, so it should not be described as a completed investment. The app aimed to prompt users to reconsider potentially hurtful messages as they typed. Later reports describe youth-focused deployments and advocacy, but the available evidence does not confirm whether ReThink is operating or selling a service today.
What was ReThink, and what deal did it get on Shark Tank?
Trisha Prabhu pitched ReThink on Season 8 of Shark Tank. The app was designed to detect potentially harmful language while someone composed a message and prompt them to pause before sending it, rather than simply punish the sender. Prabhu asked for $100,000 for 20% equity. Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner reportedly agreed on air, but the agreement did not proceed beyond the handshake, according to Shark Tank Blog’s 2026 retrospective. An on-air agreement is not proof that the investment closed.
How the pitch proposed making money
The pitch-era plan was to keep the consumer app free and pursue partnerships with schools, school districts, or larger organizations such as mobile carriers. The Sharks reportedly raised concerns about whether the idea could scale into a sustainable business. Those were proposed customers and a historical business plan, not evidence that ReThink currently offers institutional services.
What happened to ReThink after the show?
ReThink was later described as extending beyond the original consumer app into patented technology for youth-focused settings. Shark Tank Blog’s 2026 retrospective reports that by 2021 the technology had reached more than 70 Rotary Clubs across 18 countries in the Caribbean. That figure is secondary-source reporting; it is not independently verified here.

A separate development was ReThink Citizens, described in a February 2026 article as a nonprofit offshoot launched in 2023 to address online bullying and hate. The report does not establish whether the organization is active today. Read the February 2026 account.
Is the ReThink app still available or operating?
Current operating status is unresolved. A February 2026 account reported that the Android listing showed an update in October 2025, with no public explanation of what changed, while the iOS listing had not changed since 2023. The account characterized the listing activity as limited. Listing dates alone do not show whether either app works now, whether the company has closed, or whether it continues to operate.
