Why did Constance Hall put the business into administration?
Reports described an outstanding tax bill and loan as financial pressures. Insolvency Insider Australia said Hall had believed a closing-down sale could cover those obligations, but she was unable to proceed with that plan. The January 2025 account by Insolvency Advisory Accountants also described the business’s financial pressure and said Hall had started the brand with revenue from her books. Exact tax and loan balances have not been established in these reports. Insolvency Insider Australia · Insolvency Advisory Accountants
#1 Best Overall
In the January 2025 report, Hall was quoted as saying, “I have put Queen The Label into voluntary administration,” and describing the loss of the brand as heartbreaking. Those remarks were reproduced by the outlet from Hall’s social-media post; the original post was not independently verified. The article also attributed to Hall a reference to “300k subscribers” and to seven years of stress. These are her reported descriptions, not independently audited company measures. Insolvency Advisory Accountants’ report
Insolvency Insider Australia reported Hall’s statement that suppliers and wages had been paid in full. That is an attributed statement, not an administrator’s creditor reconciliation. The available reports do not establish an audited turnover, total debts, employee count, or estimated creditor return.

What can happen in voluntary administration?
In general, voluntary administration gives an external administrator control of a company while its affairs are examined and options are put to creditors. ASIC describes three possible paths: the company can return to its directors, enter a deed of company arrangement, or proceed to liquidation. Administration does not guarantee that a business will be rescued or that creditors will be repaid. ASIC guidance on voluntary administration
