ActionGlow appears to still be operating: its official storefront currently lists ActionGlow2 lighting systems for wakesurfing, biking, OneWheel riding and stand-up paddleboarding. The founders also told a 2025 interviewer that they renegotiated Robert Herjavec’s on-air offer during due diligence, but they did not disclose the final deal terms. Their reported sales growth is not independently audited.
Where ActionGlow stands now
ActionGlow’s official website presents ActionGlow2 LED systems for several sports. That shows the company is maintaining a product storefront; it does not establish profitability, financial health, current inventory or how many kits it sells. Catalog and availability may change. The company describes features such as waterproofing, rugged construction and tool-free installation. Those are company claims, not independent test findings or evidence that the lights make a sport safer.
What happened on Shark Tank
ActionGlow co-founders Garret and Dakota Porter appeared on Shark Tank Season 14, Episode 7, which ABC dates to November 18, 2022. The pitch centered on LED lighting systems for sporting equipment; ABC’s episode description names snowboards, skis, surfboards and longboards. ABC’s episode page.

In a January 2025 interview with The Ticker, the founders said Robert Herjavec offered $200,000 for 30% of the company. They had sought $200,000 for 15%, according to the interview. The same account says the terms were renegotiated favorably during due diligence. Garret Porter put it this way: “We were able to renegotiate the terms in a favorable manner with Robert and his team.” The Ticker interview.
The interview does not disclose the final investment amount or equity stake, so the on-air offer should not be treated as the completed deal. It also cited $130,000 in lifetime sales over 10 years as a figure presented to the Sharks. That historical figure and the offer are reported by The Ticker, not independently verified financial statements.
What the founders said about sales after the show
In the same January 2025 interview, the Porters said sales over the post-show weekend doubled the prior year’s sales, lifetime sales passed seven figures within a week or two, and the company had grown 250% year over year since its appearance. These are founder-reported figures; the interview does not establish them as audited results or provide the underlying financial statements.
How the company began and what it planned next
The brothers said the idea began in 2012 with LED lights for snowboards on a dark ski slope, followed by two years of product design and engineering. They later applied repeatedly to Shark Tank before being selected to pitch, according to Garret Porter’s account of the application process. ActionGlow’s account of its Shark Tank journey.

In January 2025, Dakota Porter said the company sold directly through its website or Amazon and described plans to pursue independent surf, skate, ski and bike shops, including a road tour. Those comments establish the reported channels and intended expansion at that time, not current Amazon stock or completed retail partnerships.

ActionGlow’s systems are sport-specific, so check that a kit is listed for your equipment rather than assuming one model fits every board or vehicle. The company publishes installation videos for snowboard, ski and OneWheel systems and says correct installation is important for performance and longevity. The available information does not establish independent safety testing or comparative performance results. Treat the lights as a product feature, not as a substitute for required lights, reflectors, protective equipment or safe riding practices.
