The deal was not described as a purchase of all Exertis UK operations, and later trade coverage said it did not include distribution facilities.
What did evo buy?
The announcement covered Exertis Supplies’ trade and stock, with evo acting through its VOW business. It did not state a transaction value or stock valuation. In March 2026, specialist trade publication OPI reported that evo had acquired the stock and trade and that distribution facilities were excluded. evo’s 29 January announcement; OPI’s March 2026 report.
This was distinct from the broader Exertis IT sale agreement with AURELIUS. Exertis’ 14 July 2025 update listed Exertis Supplies among the UK and Ireland businesses included in that agreement, which was then subject to regulatory approval. That wider agreement is ownership context, not evidence that evo acquired all Exertis UK operations. Exertis’ 14 July 2025 update.
What did the deal mean for employees?
evo said it was consulting Exertis Supplies employees and would try to secure their future employment where possible. At the time, an Exertis UK spokesperson told Channelweb/CRN that employees who had not applied for voluntary redundancy would move to VOW when the transaction completed; completion was then expected within about two weeks. That was the stated plan and expected timing in January 2026, not a confirmed final account of who transferred. Channelweb/CRN’s 29 January 2026 report.

What about suppliers and customers?
Suppliers
evo said taking on the stock should help suppliers receive a sensible settlement. It did not publish a settlement figure. Andrew Gale, evo CEO, called the arrangement “a sensible and pragmatic outcome.”
Customers
VOW UK Managing Director Adrian Butler said that after the consultation period VOW would work with new colleagues and complete the stock transfer quickly so customers could be serviced at the highest levels possible. This was a forward-looking statement in evo’s announcement; it does not establish that those service goals were achieved or describe current ordering arrangements. OPI later reported that overlap between Exertis Supplies’ and VOW’s customer lists constrained the upside of the acquisition.

Why did evo describe the upside as limited?
evo characterized the expected upside from acquiring the trade as limited. OPI’s later report attributed that constraint in part to customer-list overlap with VOW. The available announcements and trade coverage do not quantify the transaction’s value, the stock, employee transfers, or customer impact.
