Which Scout models does “last ICE-powered Scouts” mean?
It most plausibly means the final model-year International Harvester Scouts, rather than a recent vehicle from Scout Motors. A secondary reference identifies 1980 as the final production year and names International Harvester Scout: The Complete Illustrated History as a source: the reference. The end date is therefore supported here by a secondary source, not an original company record.
That distinction matters because Scout Motors’ newer Traveler and Terra are a separate lineup. In an April 2, 2026 help article, the company described both as planned with either an all-electric or gas-powered range-extender system: Scout Motors’ lineup description.
Is there a reliable 2025 price for a 1980 Scout?
No defensible 2025 price range can be given from the available evidence. It does not include dated 2025 asking prices or completed-sale results for 1980 International Harvester Scouts. A current listing, if one is available, would not establish what a buyer paid in 2025, and an asking price is not the same as a completed sale.

Without transaction evidence, quoting an average, a typical spend, or a low-to-high range would risk misleading buyers. The evidence also does not establish a market trend or a named market statistic for these vehicles.
What would make a 2025 Scout price comparison useful?
Any sound comparison should pair a dated listing or completed transaction with details that explain what was being sold. At a minimum, record:

- Condition and mileage: Describe the vehicle’s state and recorded mileage; do not assume two Scouts with different histories are comparable.
- Originality or modifications: Note whether the vehicle is original, restored, or modified.
- Transaction type: Label the figure as an asking price or a completed sale price.
Until those details are available for dated 2025 examples, a numeric spend estimate would be speculation rather than a substantiated buyer guide.

No. Scout Motors’ April 2, 2026 U.S. pricing target was for its planned Traveler SUV and Terra pickup, not 1980 International Harvester Scouts and not a 2025 transaction. The company said retail prices were targeted to start under $60,000 for each model, subject to change: Scout Motors’ pricing announcement.

The same company described range figures as internal targets: up to 350 miles for all-electric versions and more than 500 miles for range-extender versions, with EPA estimates to come later: Scout Motors’ range estimates. Those projections provide context about the newer vehicles, not a price comparison with classic Scouts.
