1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteAs of Epic Games’ privacy policy updated April 22, 2026, Kids Web Services Ltd (KWS) is the clearest currently named subsidiary. Epic’s July 2025 privacy policy also explicitly identified Psyonix LLC, Mediatonic Limited, and Aquiris Game Studio LLC as subsidiaries. That is a list of confirmed examples, not a complete register of every company Epic owns.
Epic Games subsidiaries confirmed in public company materials
The table separates companies Epic has explicitly called subsidiaries from entities that appear in its policy as service providers or licensing entities. The evidence dates matter: corporate relationships can change, and a service listing by itself does not establish ownership.
| Company | Status supported by the cited Epic material | Associated service or product | Evidence date |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kids Web Services Ltd (KWS) | Explicitly called a subsidiary in Epic’s current privacy policy; an Epic update says it is wholly owned. | Kids Web Services, including age-verification services | Epic privacy policy updated April 22, 2026; wholly owned status stated in a January 2024 update |
| Psyonix LLC | Explicitly called a subsidiary in Epic’s July 2025 privacy policy. | Rocket League | July 2025 |
| Mediatonic Limited | Explicitly called a subsidiary in Epic’s July 2025 privacy policy. | Fall Guys | July 2025 |
| Aquiris Game Studio LLC | Explicitly called a subsidiary in Epic’s July 2025 privacy policy. | Horizon Chase 2 | July 2025; Epic’s current policy also identifies it as the game’s service entity |
What the named subsidiaries do
Psyonix describes itself as the developer behind Rocket League and says it joined the Epic Games family in June 2019. Mediatonic announced in March 2021 that it had joined Epic; it is associated with Fall Guys. Epic’s policies connect Aquiris Game Studio LLC with Horizon Chase 2. These descriptions help identify the companies, but the ownership status in the table rests on Epic’s explicit subsidiary labels.
Companies listed as service entities, not confirmed subsidiaries by that listing
Epic’s current privacy policy names Harmonix Music Systems, Inc. as the service entity for Rock Band and Life on Air Inc. as the service entity for Postparty. Those entries identify entities connected to particular services; they do not, on their own, establish that either is an Epic subsidiary. Treating a service or licensing entity as owned without an explicit ownership statement would go beyond what the listing shows.

Former or partly divested Epic holdings
Bandcamp
In September 2023, Epic announced that Bandcamp was joining Songtradr. Bandcamp therefore should not be presented as a current Epic-owned company on the basis of Epic’s earlier ownership.
SuperAwesome and KWS
Epic announced in September 2023 that most of SuperAwesome would be spun off while Kids Web Services would remain with Epic. In January 2024, SuperAwesome’s leadership said its management team had completed the transaction to acquire most of the business from Epic, with Epic remaining an investor in the newly independent company. Epic’s January 2024 update describes KWS as wholly owned and says SuperAwesome is no longer part of Epic. The distinction is important: KWS remained with Epic, while the independent SuperAwesome business did not.

Products and brands are not automatically separate companies
Epic’s announcements name products, services, games, and business lines including Fortnite, Rocket League, Fall Guys, Unreal Engine, Epic Games Store, Epic Games Publishing, Epic Online Services, Kids Web Services, MetaHuman, Twinmotion, Quixel Megascans, Capturing Reality, ArtStation, Sketchfab, and Fab. That kind of list is not a corporate registry. A product or business line can belong to Epic without being a separately incorporated subsidiary, so it should not be counted as an owned company without evidence of a distinct legal entity and its ownership.

No. Epic’s public materials cited here confirm the relationships above but do not provide an exhaustive legal-company register. The most accurate answer is therefore a dated list of confirmed examples, with service entities and former holdings kept separate. The available sources also do not establish a current total number of Epic-owned companies.
