The report, by Amy Cavender, was published on 14 July 2025 at 7:27pm.
What PerthNow reported about draw #4572
PerthNow described the result as Monday’s draw and listed the winning numbers as 40, 4, 42, 5, 9 and 45, with supplementary numbers 6 and 2. The report said one of 10 division-two winners was also from Western Australia, receiving $5,252.25.
The draw result and prize details are attributed here to PerthNow; no primary Lotterywest draw record was available to independently confirm them.
Saturday winners were a separate result
The article also discussed three West Australian winners from a Saturday draw. Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said: “Thanks to this trio of wins, WA now boasts 33 division one Saturday Lotto wins so far this year, with these players sharing in more than $40 million in prizes.” Those figures refer to the Saturday trio, not the individual who won division one in Monday’s draw.

What the report does not say
PerthNow did not name the division-one winner, identify where the ticket was purchased or describe what the winner planned to do with the prize.
