A seat listed for Wrestlepalooza at $5,988.35 made headlines in August 2025—but that was a reported asking price, not proof that anyone paid it. The same report cited listings from $130.15 to $4,000, and it does not establish a broad trend in WWE ticket prices.
What was the nearly $6,000 Wrestlepalooza ticket?
The claim concerned the first Wrestlepalooza, scheduled for September 20, 2025, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. WWE announced the event on August 20 and said tickets would be sold through Ticketmaster beginning August 22. Its event page listed a 6:30 p.m. start. WWE’s announcement and event page establish those event details.
In an August 22, 2025 article, Josh Coulson of The Sportster, syndicated by Yardbarker, reported a Ticketmaster listing of $5,988.35 for a seat in section F5, before taxes and fees. The article did not document a completed sale, independently verify the listing, or state what the final checkout total would have been. The Sportster’s report is the source for the specific amounts.
What other prices were reported?
The same August 2025 report described a range of then-available listings. These are historical asking prices reported by the article, not current availability or verified sale prices.

| Reported listing | What the report said |
|---|---|
| $5,988.35 | A seat in section F5, before taxes and Ticketmaster fees. |
| $3,000–$4,000 | Seats near the entrance; the report did not provide further seat-by-seat details. |
| $2,404 | A seat farther back; the report did not provide further seat details. |
| $130.15 | The cheapest listing cited, described in the listing as “limited view.” |
The figures show that listings for one event could vary widely, but they do not isolate why: location, view, sale channel, and other differences matter. The report also does not establish whether any of these listings remained available or sold at the quoted amounts.
Do these listings prove WWE ticket prices are out of control?
No. They document unusually high reported asking prices for some Wrestlepalooza seats, but one event’s listings cannot establish a trend across WWE events or the overall affordability of WWE tickets. The headline’s broader claim is an argument, not a conclusion demonstrated by these figures.

A meaningful comparison would need prices for similar seats at different events and venues, captured at comparable points in the sale, with primary-sale and resale listings separated and fees treated consistently. The reported examples do not provide that kind of comparison. Nor do they support an average ticket price, a year-over-year increase, or a claim about what fans typically paid.
How should a fan evaluate a high ticket listing?
For a useful price comparison, check the same details for each option rather than comparing a premium listing with a limited-view seat as if they were equivalent.

- Seat and view: Compare section, location, and any limited-view notice.
- Price stage: Distinguish the displayed listing price from the final checkout total, including taxes and fees.
- Sale channel: Identify whether the ticket is in a primary sale or a resale listing.
- Timing: Note when the price was captured; availability and asking prices can change.
- Event and venue: Compare like with like rather than treating one event as representative of all WWE shows.
For the $5,988.35 figure specifically, the available report identifies section F5 and says the amount was before taxes and fees. It does not establish additional seat details or the final price at checkout.

WWE announced that its U.S. Premium Live Events would begin airing on ESPN platforms with Wrestlepalooza in September 2025. The Associated Press reported at the time that events were available on ESPN Unlimited and described access arrangements for some pay-TV subscribers. Those are historical details; current plan prices, access, and eligibility may differ, so check ESPN’s current terms before budgeting around streaming. The AP’s September 2025 report describes the arrangement at launch.

WWE later announced Wrestlepalooza: Perth for December 12, 2026, at RAC Arena, with individual tickets for Wrestlepalooza, SmackDown, and Raw scheduled to go on sale September 30, 2026. That announcement confirms the event and sale timing, not ticket prices. WWE’s Perth announcement is the source for those details.
