The reported final date is October 9, but the coverage does not specify an exact closing time. Offers and availability vary by item, so check the product page and checkout terms before buying.
What sale is happening at Wayfair?
The Oregonian/OregonLive reports that Wayfair’s 5 Days of Deals runs October 5 through October 9, 2026, with discounts of up to 60%. The report names furniture, home décor, area rugs, mattresses, kitchen essentials, home organization, and seasonal décor among the categories included. The Oregonian/OregonLive’s sale coverage describes the promotion; it is not an official Wayfair event page.
The supplied headline’s “spring” and “88%” do not describe this reported October event. Wayfair’s general coupon-policy page says its everyday daily sales can reach up to 70% off, but that broad site language is separate from the October event and does not mean every item is discounted by that amount. Wayfair’s coupon policy also discusses personalized codes, closeouts, and free shipping over $35 on most items; verify current terms for a specific order.
How to judge an offer before you buy
The sale report mentions limited-time daily offers, clearance or closeout items, and free shipping on qualifying orders. Daily deals can change during the event, and qualifying shipping does not mean every product or order ships free. The report does not establish current item-by-item prices or savings calculations.

- Check the item’s current price and specifications on its product page; category-wide sale coverage does not establish a particular item’s discount.
- Review the shipping charge, eligibility, and delivery estimate for your address, then confirm the terms at checkout.
- Compare like-for-like products, including dimensions, materials, and features, rather than relying on the advertised maximum percentage.
- If an offer is described as limited-time, confirm that it is still available when you are ready to order.
What earlier Wayfair promotions tell you—and what they don’t
Past Way Day promotions are not proof of this event’s terms. Wayfair’s April 17, 2025 announcement described a separate April 26–28 Way Day with discounts up to 80% and event-specific offers. That historical promotion does not establish the dates, discount ceiling, or benefits for October 2026. Wayfair’s 2025 announcement is useful only as context for a prior event.
Likewise, USA TODAY’s April 2026 coverage of Way Day concerns an earlier promotion, not the October 5–9 5 Days of Deals. USA TODAY’s April 2026 coverage cannot confirm the current event’s item prices or conditions.
