Wayfair’s 2026 Labor Day sale is over: the promotions covered multiple home categories, but the advertised “up to 82% off” was a selected-item maximum—not a sitewide discount. As of October 8, 2026, the available evidence does not verify a current replacement offer or identify the item that reached 82%, so treat those figures as historical and check any listing’s live price and stock before buying.
Is Wayfair’s Labor Day sale still on?
No. September 2026 sale coverage reported that the event ended by September 7 or September 8. By October 8, its prices and availability should be treated as historical unless a current product listing confirms otherwise. Wayfair’s official press archive had company news through October 7, but the available information does not establish a live October sale date or a replacement event.
What did “up to 82% off” mean?
USA TODAY’s September 2026 coverage advertised a selected deal at up to 82% off. That is an item-level ceiling, not a discount available across Wayfair’s site or every category. The same coverage described discounts of up to 60% across categories such as outdoor furniture, home decor, and cookware. These figures describe different scopes: the highest featured markdown can exceed the broader category-level offers.
The sources available do not identify the specific product behind the 82% figure, verify its reference price, or establish that the item remains available. Do not use the maximum as a guide to what a typical shopper could save.

Which categories were included?
Wayfair’s indexed Labor Day promotions covered living-room seating, area rugs, bathroom vanities, mattresses, kitchen and dining furniture, bedroom furniture, outdoor furniture, lighting, bedding, and outdoor decor. The sale page presented different category-specific discount ceilings and individual product deals; a category listing does not mean every item in it received the same markdown.
How to assess a Wayfair sale price
For any current listing, compare the actual offer rather than relying on a headline maximum. Check the product and variant, price, displayed reference price, stock, and terms before deciding whether it fits your budget and needs.
