Its under-$2 headline referred to Ruiner at $1.99 in the US or £1.59 in the UK for PlayStation Plus members; the listed price without that member discount was higher. If you are checking prices now, use your own PlayStation Store region and the current product page rather than relying on those historical figures.
Is the PlayStation November sale still on?
The sale in the headline was reported by TechRadar on November 5, 2025. Its listed prices are historical, and they do not establish what any game costs in October 2026. The available sources do not verify current 2026 sale prices.

Sony later announced a separate 2025 Black Friday promotion, scheduled to begin November 21 for a limited time. That later event does not show that the earlier November Savings prices continued until then. Sony said promotions varied by region and retailer, and directed shoppers to check local offers. Sony’s November 18, 2025 announcement described hundreds of digital PS5 and PS4 game offers with savings up to 75% for that later promotion—not today’s prices.
Which PlayStation games were under $2?
In TechRadar’s November 5, 2025 roundup, Ruiner was listed at $3.99 in the US and £3.19 in the UK, with an additional PlayStation Plus member discount bringing it to $1.99 or £1.59. The under-$2 figure therefore applied only to members in those listed currencies, not to every shopper or region. The original roundup is the source for the historical price and eligibility detail.

What other games and prices did the 2025 roundup list?
These are examples from the article’s sale listing, not current prices or recommendations based on today’s inventory. US and UK prices are shown as reported; the Assassin’s Creed bundle was specifically described as US-only.
| Game or edition | Reported 2025 sale price | Details in the roundup |
|---|---|---|
| Batman: Arkham Knight | $4.99 / £3.99 | Compared with a stated usual price of $19.99 / £15.99. |

How to check a PlayStation deal before you buy
- Open the PlayStation Store for your account’s region. Sale prices and availability can vary by country; a price shown in another region may not apply to you.
- Open the exact product page. Confirm the edition and whether it is for PS4, PS5, or both, along with any included add-ons or bundle contents.
- Check the price and eligibility shown at checkout. A PlayStation Plus price may require an active membership. Compare the final price you can pay with the price displayed for your account.
- Check whether the offer is digital or physical. The prices in the 2025 roundup concerned PlayStation Store offers; they do not establish the price of a physical copy.
How should you interpret Sony’s separate Black Friday announcement?
Sony’s November 18, 2025 post said the later Black Friday offers would start November 21 for a limited time, span PlayStation Store, PlayStation Direct, PlayStation Gear and participating retailers, and vary by region and retailer. It also promoted selected hardware, accessories and PlayStation Plus offers, which were separate from the earlier game-price examples. The membership promotion was limited to participating countries: Sony described up to 33% off a 12-month membership for new joiners and a 33% saving on the remaining membership period for eligible upgrades. A PlayStation Plus subscription recurs and is subject to its terms. These details describe the 2025 promotion, not an offer confirmed as available now.
