The original Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game was included in a Prime Gaming giveaway described on February 1, 2024. That was a time-limited promotion, not confirmation that the game is free to claim now. A check of Amazon’s claims page did not provide usable offer details, so current availability is unresolved.
Which Fallout game did the offer refer to?
The title was Fallout: A Post Nuclear Role Playing Game, the original game released by Interplay in 1997. Insider Gaming described it as a post-apocalyptic role-playing game in which players control a customizable character in a wasteland. The giveaway report concerns this original game, not the broader Fallout franchise.
What did the February 2024 Prime Gaming promotion include?
Insider Gaming’s February 1, 2024 article reported that Prime subscribers could claim Fallout as part of that month’s Prime Gaming lineup. It also named six other games, with claims staggered during February:
- Breakout Recharged
- Missile Command
- Criminal Archives: Alphabetic Murders
- Tempest 4000
- Blade Assault
- Gravitar: Recharged
These details describe a historical promotion. “Free” in this context meant a benefit for eligible Prime subscribers during the offer period; it does not establish that the game was universally free or remains claimable.

Is Fallout still free with Amazon Prime?
It cannot be confirmed from the available offer information. The Amazon Luna claims page displayed a technical difficulties message when checked, rather than current terms or a claim option. That leaves present-day availability, any deadline, eligible locations, redemption method, and supported platform unconfirmed. The 2024 news report alone is not evidence of an active offer.
For a current answer, check Prime Gaming or Amazon’s claims page while signed in to the account you would use. Look for the game’s listing and confirm the claim deadline, regional eligibility, platform and redemption instructions before relying on the promotion. If no current listing and terms appear, do not assume the old offer can still be claimed.

Sources and dates
Insider Gaming’s February 1, 2024 report is the source for the historical lineup and game description. Amazon’s claims page did not return offer details when checked on October 8, 2026, so it cannot establish whether another promotion is available now.
