What was the Starbucks Thursday deal?
A People story republished by Yahoo Lifestyle on May 1, 2024, reported that Starbucks would offer buy one handcrafted drink and get one free on Thursday, May 2, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The report described redemption through the Starbucks app for Rewards members or in a store by asking a barista. It does not establish that the offer applied worldwide.
This was a dated promotion, not evidence of a recurring Thursday benefit. The available sources do not confirm that Starbucks is offering the same deal today. Check the Starbucks app or the local Starbucks listing for current offers and availability.
What was the Lavender Crème Frappuccino?
The 2024 report described it as a seasonal, caffeine-free blended beverage made with lavender and vanilla syrup, milk, and ice, topped with whipped cream. It was one of the drinks customers could apply the reported BOGO offer toward.

Separately, Starbucks Stories EMEA included a Lavender Creme Frappuccino Blended Beverage on its spring menu in 2025. That confirms a listing in EMEA for that menu period; it does not establish present-day availability elsewhere or in every market. For the drink’s development, Starbucks EMEA beverage developer Dan Saxby said: “I knew I wanted to utilise lavender – but it took a lot of testing and trialling different combinations to find the right flavour and colour – one that wasn’t too overpowering, but still delivered on taste and visuals.”

The May 2024 report does not verify a current offer. Promotions can be limited by date, market, and redemption terms, so check the offers shown in your Starbucks app or ask a local store rather than assuming Thursday means BOGO.
