What Walmart+ is and who can join
Walmart describes Walmart+ as a paid membership and says members need a Walmart.com account and the Walmart app to use its features. The U.S. membership is available to customers with a U.S. billing address, and Walmart may make it available in certain territories at its discretion. Benefits are limited in Alaska and Hawaii. What Walmart+ includes
Store delivery, shipping and pharmacy
Walmart lists free delivery from a member’s store, free shipping with no order minimum, and free pharmacy delivery with no order minimum. “Free” does not mean every product, order or address qualifies. Walmart says delivery depends on factors including item eligibility, inventory, delivery address and available time slots; service availability can also change. Check your address and specific basket in the Walmart app.

InHome delivery is an extra-cost add-on
Walmart lists InHome for Walmart+ members as an add-on at $40 per year or $7 per month, with a stated $35 order minimum and availability limited to certain U.S. ZIP codes. Walmart describes tips as included for InHome; confirm local availability and the terms shown at enrollment. The add-on price is separate from the base Walmart+ fee.
Fuel savings
Members can receive fuel discounts at Walmart fueling stations and select third-party providers when they use the Walmart app. The discount is not a single guaranteed amount nationwide: Walmart’s terms say it can change and may vary by location, provider and state law. Look in the app for participating stations and current savings near you.
In-store app features and other perks
Walmart’s benefit list includes in-store app use such as Scan & Go, along with returns, travel, savings and partner offers. Specific availability and conditions can differ. Walmart said in its September 1, 2025 anniversary announcement that benefits had expanded from three to 12 since 2020; that is a dated company count, not a promise that the same number or set of benefits applies today.
Which streaming service comes with Walmart+?
In a September 1, 2025 announcement, Walmart said U.S. members could choose either the ad-supported Paramount+ Essential plan or Peacock Premium at no additional cost, with the option to switch every 90 days. Walmart said the choice would begin September 15, 2025. This describes Walmart’s announced U.S. benefit, not every plan tier offered by either service. Check the streaming benefit displayed in your Walmart+ account before enrolling, especially if a specific service or tier matters.

Walmart SVP of Walmart+ Deepak Maini said, “The additional option of Peacock Premium adds even more value and more choice to our membership, without raising the price.” That is Walmart’s characterization of its offer; the practical value depends on whether you want the included ad-supported plan and whether you already pay for streaming.

- Check eligibility first. Enter your address and test likely orders in the app to see whether store delivery, pharmacy delivery and the items you buy are available.
- Estimate realistic use. Consider how often you would use eligible delivery or shipping, pharmacy delivery, participating fuel discounts, Scan & Go and the streaming choice.
- Account for what you already pay for. If you already subscribe to a streaming service, compare the included plan and its ads, catalog and tier with what you would otherwise keep.
- Compare your estimate with the fee. Use $12.95 per month or $98 per year, plus applicable tax, as the listed U.S. base price, then weigh that against the value of benefits you will actually use. Do not count unavailable services or assume a fuel discount amount that the app has not shown you.
If you compare Walmart+ with Amazon Prime or another membership, compare current official terms for the features you personally need: local store delivery, shipping, fuel locations, streaming catalog and plan tier, in-store tools, and cancellation rules. Current competitor pricing and terms are not established here, so verify them directly before making a price comparison.
How cancellation and renewal work
Walmart’s terms say a membership renews automatically at the fee then in effect, plus applicable taxes. To avoid a charge for a new term, cancel before the current term ends. For a paid membership, benefits may continue through the end of that term after cancellation. Check the renewal date and cancellation details shown in your account.
Trial terms can differ: Walmart says canceling a trial may end benefits immediately, and trial offers may change or be withdrawn. Do not assume a trial has the same end-of-term access as a paid membership; check the specific offer in your account.
Walmart+ in Canada is a separate offer
Walmart Canada announced a distinct Walmart+ plan on June 4, 2026, at C$8.97 per month or C$89 per year. At launch, the Canadian plan included same-day store delivery on orders over C$35, no-minimum shipping on thousands of items, and Crave Standard with Ads. These are Canadian launch details, not U.S. benefits; check Walmart Canada’s current page for availability and terms.
