Is the deal still available?
No. The $139 promotion should be treated as expired. During an August 2026 check, the Walmart product page showed a $199 price and indicated that the item was out of stock for shipping and delivery at the time captured. Prices and fulfillment options can change, but shoppers should not assume the 2025 Black Friday price remains available.
Why AirPods Pro 2 were still a strong buy
The AirPods Pro 2 were no longer Apple’s newest Pro earbuds after the AirPods Pro 3 launched, but the older model retained much of the experience iPhone users were paying for:

Engadget reported approximately six hours of listening with ANC enabled and up to 30 hours with the charging case. Those are rated or reported figures, not guaranteed real-world results: ANC, Spatial Audio, calls, volume and software use affect battery life.

AirPods Pro 2 versus AirPods Pro 3
The right choice depended less on whether Pro 2 were “old” and more on whether the newer model’s improvements justified its price premium.

According to Engadget’s comparison, AirPods Pro 3 improved ANC and sound quality and added built-in heart-rate sensing for workouts. Apple lists up to eight hours of listening with ANC for Pro 3 and up to 24 hours including the case, compared with Engadget’s roughly six-hour and 30-hour figures for Pro 2. These numbers are not directly interchangeable without considering test conditions and listening modes.

Pro 3 may also have a longer remaining software-support horizon simply because it is newer, but there is no documented support period that should be used to promise a specific number of years. For many buyers, the deciding factor was the price gap: at $139, Pro 2 offered unusually good value; at a much higher price, the newer model became easier to justify.

Consider another option if…
- You use Android and do not need Apple-specific features. The earbuds work as Bluetooth headphones with non-Apple devices, but Apple says functionality may be limited.
- You specifically want heart-rate tracking during workouts.
- You want the newest ANC and sound performance.
- You prefer an open-fit earbud rather than silicone ear tips. Apple’s AirPods 4 family may be a better fit, depending on the model and current price.
- You are considering old or unclear Walmart Marketplace inventory without checking the seller and condition.

If a similar discount returns, verify the listing before placing an order. Walmart can sell products from both Walmart and Marketplace sellers, and the seller can affect condition, authenticity, returns and warranty handling.

Bottom line on the $139 price
At $139 on November 28, 2025, the USB-C AirPods Pro 2 were an unusually strong Walmart Black Friday deal. Engadget and TechRadar reported the price as the lowest they had seen, and it beat Walmart’s approximately $154–$155 2024 Black Friday price. But the offer is historical, not a current August 2026 bargain. If Pro 2 return to a similar price from a reputable seller, they remain compelling for Apple users; if the price gap to AirPods Pro 3 is small, the newer model is the safer long-term choice.
